Cody Lane Lyons and Remli Elizabeth Price were married in a 6 p.m., Friday, April 24, 2020 ceremony at The Wedding Tree at Live Oak Creek Ranch in Muldoon, Texas. Their ceremony was officiated by Pastor Will Martin of Muldoon Baptist Church.
The bride is the daughter of Randy and Sandy Price of Houston, and the granddaughter of Emily Shamaly and the late Joseph H. Shamaly, and Gloria Price and the late George Price. She is a graduate of Texas A&M University with a bachelor of science and then a master’s in real estate. Remli is currently employed as a consultant in the real estate evaluation practice at Ernst and Young.
The groom is the son of Scott and Ann Lyons of Muldoon, and the grandson of Bobby and Shirley Lyons of Katy and the late Marshall Wellington Doggett III and Patricia Ann Overholt-Doggett of Houston, and nephew to great-uncle and great-aunt, Ralph and Libby Overholt of Morristown and great-aunt Susan (Overholt) Perry of Knoxville. Cody is a graduate of Texas A&M with a bachelor of science in microbiology and a master of science degree in biomedical sciences and has been accepted to University of North Texas Health Science Center to attend medical school beginning in late July 2020.
In attendance were immediate family only, including parents of the bride and groom as well as sisters, brothers, spouses, fiancé, guest and grandparents who were able to attend.
The ceremony was held outside under The Wedding Tree, where a reception immediately followed, photographs were taken at the wedding site. Food was catered, toasts were made, and later the cake was served and the couple drove away in a 1949 Chevrolet truck to their car to travel to The George in College Station.
Due to the gathering restrictions the couple will celebrate at their planned venue to renew their vows and celebrate with all of their family and friends on June 26, 2020 in Katy,Texas. They will honeymoon in Hawaii.
The couple now resides in Fort Worth, Texas.
