Duran couple celebrate one year of matrimony

Jesse M. Duran Sr., of Yorkville, Illinois, and Lauren N. Langan Duran, of New Market, observed their one-year anniversary on Father's Day, Sunday, June 20.

The couple was married June 20, 2020, with a ceremony surrounded by loved ones at the bride’s hometown church.

Lauren is the daughter of James A. Langan and Elizabeth A. Elmore Langan. She is the granddaughter of Anna Ruisi Langan and the late Matthew J. Langan of Queens, New York. She is also the granddaughter of J. “Phillip” Elmore and Opal M. Spears Elmore of New Market. She has two brothers, Brandon A. Langan and Andrew R. Langan.

Lauren is a 2011 high school graduate of Jefferson County High School; former client of Goodwill Industries Inc.; and former nursing student of Goodwill Industries in Morristown. She later served as a dietary aide at Chandler House. Lauren is very active in her church, Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, New Market.

Jesse is the son of “Joe” and Ellen Duran, of Yorkville, Illinois. He is the grandson of the late Mr. José Narro Duran and Isabel Duran. He has two sisters, Lindsay M. Duran and Courtney N. Duran, also of Yorkville.

He is a self-employed personal assistant at Independent Trucking LLC. Jesse is also a current client of Goodwill Industries, Inc., in Morristown.

The couple enjoys simple outings and traveling. They also enjoy giving to charities; such as non-profit organizations.
