Howertons to mark golden anniversary

Ray and Betty Howerton of Bean Station will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. They were married July 10, 1970 at Mountain Valley Baptist Church in Greene County by the late Rev. Kenneth Minor of Rogersville.

Ray is the son of the late General and Zelma (McCoy) Howerton of Bean Station. He is retired from UPS.

Betty is the daughter of the late Arthur and Aileen (Dyer) Owens of Russellville. She is retired from Grainger County School System.

They are members of Adriel Baptist Church and enjoy spending time with family and camping.

They are the proud parents of two sons and daughter-in laws. Rev. Scott and Alisa Howerton of Bean Station, and Chris and Kristin Howerton of Morristown. Their family includes special grandchildren, Taylor and wife Jasmine, Jordan, Drew, Ali, and Owen Howerton. They keep the memory of their late daughter-in-law, Kinsey Roberts Howerton, and grandson, Asher Christopher Howerton, close to their hearts.

Due to the circumstances of this year, getting together with family and friends would be difficult, but if you would like to send a card of congratulations you can do so by mail to 604 Lakeshore Dr., Bean Station, TN 37708.
