LILLIE F. AUSMUS
Lillie F. Ausmus, age 91, of Jefferson City, went to be with the Lord and her heavenly family on July 26, 2010 at her home surrounded by her family. She attended the Church of God. She was a member of and enjoyed activities and trips with the Golden Nuggets for many years.
She is preceded in death by husband, Hobert Ausmus; daughter, Univee Kanipe; grandson, U. S. Marine Corp. Andrew Ausmus; one great-grandchild; two great-great-grandchildren; parents, Martha and Alfred Yeary; three sons-in-law and one daughter-in-law.
She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Charles and Beulah Ausmus, Alfred Ausmus, John and Sherry Ausmus, Lowell and Mona Ausmus; daughters and sons-in-law, Zella and Jerry Whittemore, Brenda Wilson, Deborah and Mike Monday; 18 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; Three great-great-grandchildren; three brothers; two sisters; one son-in-law; one sister-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral service will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday, July 29, 2010 from the Farrar Jefferson City Chapel with Rev. Eddie Hinton and Rev. Ray Pratt officiating. Family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. prior to the service. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 a.m. Friday morning at Yeary Cemetery in Tazewell for an 11 a.m. graveside interment service.

BENNIE JOE COOPER
Bennie Joe Cooper, age 73, of Rutledge, passed away, Monday July 26, 2010. He was born May 30, 1937 in Gibson County to the late Kelly and Johnnie May Harrell. He graduated from Pontiac High School in Pontiac, Mich. and retired from the Pontiac Fire Dept.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Cooper; three children, Michael (Sheryl) Cooper, Katheryn (Chris) Person and Matthew Cooper; grandchildren, Jessica Strickland, Andrea Cooper, Brendan Person, Alex Cooper, Christian Cooper and Cameron Cooper; one great-granddaughter, Emily Kay Strickland; and sister, Alice (Ron) Shelton.
Cremation has taken place. No service will be held. Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to charity of choice.

REV. CHARLES W. DAVIS
Rev. Charles W. Davis, age 78, of Morristown, entered into celestial service with the Supreme Architect on July 26, 2010, at Heritage Center. Educated in Hamblen County Schools, he was a minister of the Holston Conference United Methodist Church, serving a total of 22 churches in the Morristown, Johnson City and Knoxville Districts. His personal interests included the study of family heritage which he implemented through his work with the Sons of the American Revolution and Sons of Confederate Veterans.
Rev. Davis was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Mary Epps Davis; and sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Kenny Hurst.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Betty Murphy Davis; son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Shirlene Tate Davis of Bean Station; son, Ed Davis of Knoxville; two grandchildren, Eric (Lois) Davis of Bean Station, and Sabrina and Joey Coffey of Newport; five great grandchildren, Brittany, Hunter, Savannah, Makenzie, and Cody; brothers, Paul and Blanche Davis of Sneedville, Joe and Linda Davis of Morristown, Johnny and Patsy Davis of Jefferson City; and several nieces, nephews and aunts, Georgia Wilder, Virginia Bewley, and Gladys Epps.
Rev. Davis was a fifty year member and past Worshipful Master of Hamblen Lodge no. 767 F&AM, a fifty year member of the Scottish Rite, and Past Worthy Patron of Morristown no. 486 OES. Fraternal brothers and sisters will serve as honorary pallbearers.
The Davis family will receive friends Wednesday, July 28th, 2010 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. A Celebration of Life service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, July 29th, 2010, in the chapel of Allen Funeral Home with reverends Dennis Loy, Don Nation, and Van Sanks officiating followed by a Masonic Graveside Service in Hamblen Memory Gardens. Memorial gifts may be made to Holston Home for Children or the American Heart Association.

J.C. Douthat, age 77, of White Pine passed away Sunday, July 25, 2010 at his home.
Funeral service will be 8 p.m. Thursday, July 29 at First United Methodist Church of White Pine with Rev. Greg Douthat officiating. The interment will be at 10 a.m. at Jarnigan Cemetery. Family will receive friends 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. prior to the service.

Ernest "Ernie" Maynard, age 80, passed away Monday, July 26th, 2010, suddenly at his home in Russellville. Ernest was a working custodian of 10 years at Russellville Elementary School. He was of the Baptist faith, enjoyed gardening and working with his bees. Ernest was a giving, loving, and generous man who would help anyone.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bud and Maudie Maynard; his brothers, William Thomas Maynard, Edgle Maynard, and Irvin Maynard; his sister, Allie May Gilliam; step son, Jim Mahaney.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Maynard; his daughter and son-in-law, Paula and Jeff Adkins; son, Ernest "Ray" (Jessica) Maynard; step son, Jack Mahaney; step daughter, Elizabeth (John) Surber; grandchildren, Sean Lucas Adkins, Brandee Surber, Shaun Maynard, Thomas Maynard, Amber Eades; three great-grandchildren; brothers, Bobby and David Maynard; sisters, June Young, Elsie Gray, Lois Blackburn, and Gracie Simmons; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Thursday, July 29th, 2010 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home. Followed by the funeral service at 8 p.m. with the Reverend Scott Helton and Reverend William Kilby officiating. The interment will be Friday July 30th, 2010 at Calhill Cemetery in Pine Knot, Ky.

FRANK STUART JR.
Frank Stuart, Jr., 89, of Cleveland, passed into his eternal peace on Sunday, July 25, 2010 in a Chattanooga hospital. He was surrounded by loving family members and friends. Mr. Stuart proudly served his country during World War II with the 29th Infantry division of the United States Army. While serving he met his bride of 65 years, Ruby Elizabeth Stuart. He retired from TVA. He attended Chestuee United Methodist Church. He was also a member of the Morristown Masonic Lodge. During his life he was cared for, respected, honored and loved by many family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Stuart Sr. and Pauline Padgett Stuart.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby Elizabeth Stuart; daughter, Teresa S. Estes; three grandchildren, John Stuart Jr., Elizabeth Estes and Stuart Estes; and great-granddaughter, Kari Ann Stuart.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 1, 2010 at 3 p.m. at Chestuee United Methodist Church with the Reverend Betsy Switzer officiating.

HARRIET EVELYN ZINN
Harriet Evelyn, born in Mt. Gilead, Ohio, March 1, 1919 to William Clay and Sara Gordon Batchelor, passed away on July 23, 2010. She graduated from Mt. Gilead H.S. in 1937 and from Muskingum College in 1941. She interned in dietetics at the Graduate Hospital of the Univ. of Penn. in Philadelphia and worked as a dietician in Barberton, Ohio, and at Grant Hospital in Columbus. She married Robert W. Zinn on July 16, 1949.
She is survived by a son, William G. Zinn of Bridgeville, Pa; and a daughter, Janet L. Zinn McDaniel of Midland, Texas; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Ruth Lawson of Lynchburg, Va. In lieu of flowers please send donations to Parkinsonfs Disease Foundation or the Alzheimerfs Association.
