Locusts hold on to top Grasshoppers 14-13 in minor Rec League action

The Locusts squeaked by the Grasshoppers 14-13 in boys; minor league action. Noah Moore’s two HRs, along with one hit each from Ian Sexton and Cannon Bunch led the Locusts. Trey Carroll’s two hits, including one HR, led the Grasshoppers in the loss. Elijah Richardson is credited with the win, while Conrad Lunsford gets the loss.

 The Termites defeated the Crickets 16-11. Eli Steisslinger’s two hits led the Termites, while the Crickets were led by Caleb Noe, Connor McFayden, and Jordan Holdway, each with one hit in the defeat. Steisslinger gets the win, while Lucas Cowan is credited with the loss.

 The Hornets topped the Spiders 10-1. Landen Smith’s one hit led the Hornets, while the Spiders recorded zero hits. Esten DeVault is credited with the win, while Dominic Lane gets the loss.

 The Gnats took down the Wasps 11-10. Logan Brakley’s two hits, along with Ryan Harris’ HR led the Gnats in the win. Joey Johnson’s three hits led the Wasps. Isaac Holt is credited with the win, while Johnson gets the loss.

 Boys’ Junior League

 The Smokies defeated the Wildcats 16-1. Patrick Muscari’s and Thomas Logan’s two hits each led the Smokies, while Ruston Rigney, Andrew Bolley, and Drew Cartwright led the Wildcats in the loss. Muscari is credited with the win, while Elijah Brown gets the loss.

 The Phillies fell to the Rebels 7-6. Dylan Fryman’s HR led the Rebels, while Aaron Trent and Eli Ferguson each led the Phillies with one hit. Josh Sauls is credited with the win, while Ferguson gets the loss.

 Boys’ Senior League

 The Wolverines defeated the Redlegs 10-6. Travis Carmichael and Jawane Cuberson led the Wolverines with one hit each, while the Redlegs were led by Hayden Davis, Seth Caughner, and Trevor Blevins, each with one hit. Ed Gordon gets the win, while Blevins is credited with the loss for the Redlegs.

 The South Jefferson Braves topped the Morristown Athletics 7-3. Caleb Graves’ three hits led the Braves, while Hunter Skeen and Brandon Curtice led the Athletics with one hit each. Graves is credited with the win, while Brandon Lane gets the loss.

 Girls’ Minor League

 The Eastons defeated the Sounds 10-0. Alexis Brown and Sarah Jones led the Eastons with two hits each. Jones gets the win, while Abbie Creech gets the loss.

 The Lightning topped the Mysticks 12-0. Olivia Harris and Blayne King’s three hits each, including one HR each, led the Lightning. Harris receives the win, while Brianna Maness gets the loss.

 The Renegades defeated the Rumblers by forfeit.
