Encore Theatrical Company is holding auditions for its spring performance of “Love, Loss and What I Wore.”
Auditions will be Monday, March 25 and Tuesday March 26 at 6 p.m.
“Love, Loss and What I Wore” tells the story of how a woman’s wardrobe often serves as the way she remembers her life. This charming and poignant comedy, told through a series of stories, delivers lots of laughs and a few tears as it takes the audience on a moving and often hilarious journey through the lives of women, told through the clothing and accessories that trigger important memories.
The play was written by Nora Ephron, the Oscarnominated writer of “When Harry Met Sally” and “Sleepless in Seattle.”
The production is being directed by Kathy Jones-Terry, one of the founding company members of Encore.
“This is tremendous play about the lives of contemporary women,” Terry said. “Whether someone is older or younger, single or married, they will relate to the characters in these stories.”
Terry is seeking five women of various ages to fill roles in the play. The audition will consist of readings from the script. No preparation is necessary. No advance registration is required. Those wishing to audition may attend either evening of the auditions.
Auditions will be held in Encore’s studio space on the second floor of the Pink Pig Pottery store in downtown Morristown. Actors should enter from the overhead sidewalk.
