The BelkGives on the Go Mobile Mammography Center, a 39-footlong, state-of-the-art screening center on wheels, will stop at the Belk store in Morristown in May to offer free, convenient mammogram screenings.

Women 40 and over with no breast concerns who have not had a mammogram in the last 12 months and who have a primary care physician are eligible by calling 855-655-2662 to schedule an appointment.

The center will be at Belk at College Square Mall on Friday, May 17 and Saturday, May 18.

All screening exams are performed by Charlotte Radiology’s licenses, female mammographycertified technologists. A boardcertified radiologist, specialized in breast imaging will interpret the mammogram.

Confidential results will be sent to the patient and her primary care physician.

Belk, the nation’s largest privately operated department store, launched BelkGives on the Go Mobile Mammography in partnership with Charlotte Radiology. The mobile mammography center brings convenient, digital screening and awareness to all Belk markets.

“Having the BelkGives on the Go Mobile Mammography Center travel to cities where are associates and customers live and work underscores what we’ve been saying for a long time — awareness and early detection saves lives,” said Jessica Graham, Belk’s vice president of communications and community relations. “We’re excited to take Belk’s fight against breast cancer on the road.”
