Almaraz wins coloring contest

Congratulations to the Hamblen County and school-level winners of the Hamblen County Storm Water Department second grade coloring contest, which was sponsored by the Hamblen County Planning Commission. Fairview-Marguerite second grade student Ayra E. Ruiz Almaraz, won the grand prize and was awarded a $15 ticket to Carmike Cinemas. All other winners were given Chick-fil-A coupons.

At Alpha Elementary, the first place winner was Maddy Durfey, the second place winner was Will Handren and the third place winner was Kyra Bowers. At Fairview-Marguerite Elementary, first place went to Molly Hart and second place went to Isabela Martinez.

The first place winner at Hillcrest Elementary was Melanie Reyes Mata. Anahi Ramos won second place and Karen Perez Velasquez won third place.

John Hay’s first place winner was Edgar Gonzalez Merchant, second place was Alex Anderson and third place was Avery Hawkins.

At Lincoln Heights Elementary, first place was awarded to Karina Laureano, second place to Jaylin Cotter and third place to Zaydyn McLaughlin.

Manley Elementary’s Olive English won first place, Cayenne Atheron won second and Hailie Clary won third.

Olivia Lamb won first place at Russellville Elementary, where Ramos Hernandez won second and Sam Reed won third. At Union Heights Elementary, first place went to Ethan Bean, second to Emma Arrington and third to Kalynn Shiflet.

First place at West Elementary went to Lisbeth Arriaga, second to Jeremiah Barnette and third to Makiya Dailey.

Witt Elemetary’s first place winner was Carlie Wolfe, second place was Jayden Bullard and third place was Nevaeh Grooms.

Kelli Crum won first place at Whitesburg Elementary, where Phoebe Hubbard won second and Triston Hood won third.
