DESCRIPTION:<p>The Mike Edenfield Memorial 5K Run/Walk will be held May 12 
 at Panther Creek State Park in Morristown. The run/walk will begin at 8 a.
 m.\, with registration open through 7:30 a.m.</p>\n<p>Edenfield played bas
 eball at Morristown-Hamblen High School East. After graduating in 1981\, h
 e went on to play for Walters State Community College and the U.S. Air For
 ce.</p>\n<p>Edenfield\, the owner/operator of Dealer Services in Clinton\,
  changed his life in 2009. He became a born again Christian and what frien
 ds describe as “health exercise nut.” He lost a significant amount of weig
 ht using the P90X and Insanity exercise programs and eventually taught cla
 sses in a variety of locations.</p>\n<p>The weight loss\, exercise and hea
 lthy eating choices led to Edenfield’s success as trainer\, runner and bik
 e-riding enthusiast.</p>\n<p>“He helped coach many people to get healthier
  through exercise and diet\,” said John Smyth\, treasurer of the Morristow
 n Running\, Hiking and Biking Club and Edenfield’s friend. “He called it a
  lifestyle change.”</p>\n<p>Mike was a member of the Knoxville Track Club\
 , Oak Ridge Track Club and the MRHBC. He completed multiple marathons\, tr
 iathlons and other races.</p>\n<p>After his sudden death on Feb. 29\, Face
 book lit up with testimonials from individuals who had been affected in a 
 positive way by Edenfield’s example.</p>\n<p>“Mike is best known for lovin
 g God\, running\, working out\, eating right\, life and mostly his wife\, 
 Mica\,” Smyth said.</p>\n<p>Edenfield’s mother\, Mona Stuckwish\, resides 
 in Morristown. His younger brother\, Ken\, played professional baseball in
  the mid-90s\, spending two seasons with the California Angels.</p>\n<p>To
