 neteenth-century salt making workshop with Jim Bordwine on Saturday\, Augu
 st 18\, 2012 from 10:00am until 5:00pm with a lunch break. Participants sh
 ould bring their own lunches.</p>\n<p><span style='font-family: 'times new
  roman'\, serif\;'> </span>Salt\, while taken for granted today\, was vita
 l to food preservation (and life) on the frontier. Mr. Bordwine\, a native
  of Saltville\, VA\, and an expert on historical salt production\, will de
 monstrate how salt brine was boiled down to salt crystals.</p>\n<p><span s
 tyle='font-family: 'times new roman'\, serif\;'> </span>The cost is $10 pe
 r person\, and participation will be limited to 30 individuals. To registe
