 <p align='left'>an acclaimed Polish artist who lives in New York City\, wi
 ll lecture on his work\, which will be presented as an exhibition in the E
 wing Gallery. The lecture and exhibition is jointly sponsored by the Colle
 ge of Architecture and Design\, the School of Art\, and the Marek Maria Pi
 enkowski Foundation.</p>\n<p align='left'><em>Rhapsody in K-Dron</em> will
  be a two and three dimensional installation\, featuring a model of the K-
 Dron. The <a title='http://universityoftennesseeknoxville.createsend1.com/
 t/r-l-kdhduhy-jryduutji-t/' href='http://universityoftennesseeknoxville.cr
 eatesend1.com/t/r-l-kdhduhy-jryduutji-t/'>K-Dron</a> is the geometrical fo
 rm defined by its complexity and subtly. Discovered by Janusz Kapusta in 1
 985 and patented in 1987\, the name K-Dron originates from K\, the 11th le
 tter of the alphabet\, and GK-EDRON\, the Greek word for surface. Being bo
 th a remarkably simple and complex structure\, its basic form has a square
  base\, 11 multifaceted sides and a diamond-shaped face with a 45-degree a
 ngle of inclination. Janusz Kapusta has developed K-Dron’s versatility to 
 invent the K-Dron game in which 8 K-Drons of two colors (black and white) 
 can be manipulated to produce patterns of up to 38\,416 possible combinati
 ons.</p>\n<p align='left'>This exhibition is held in honor of <a title='ht

 i-i/' href='http://universityoftennesseeknoxville.createsend1.com/t/r-l-kd
