DESCRIPTION:<p>Every Thursday evening from May thru September\, hundreds of
  musicians of all ages and styles gather at Fred Miller Park in Morristown
  for a weekly acoustic jam session. The goal of “Pickin’ in the Park”  is 
 to help musicians learn more about their craft and to preserve East Tennes
 see’s rich musical heritage.</p>\n<p>Pickin In The Park begins at 6 p.m. a
 nd winds up at dusk. There is no charge for admission.</p>\n<p>Whether mus
 icians have an ear for that high lonesome sound\, bluegrass\, country\, go
 spel\, blues\, jazz or rock\, they’re all welcome at the Pickin’ in the Pa
 rk. The weekly event also features drum circles for percussionists. Rules 
 are no electric instruments or amplifiers and microphones for acoustic ins
 truments\, no commercial instrument sales\, no formal performances and no 
 charge.</p>\n<p>Those who don’t play are invited to bring a blanket or law
 n chair and soak in the sounds. Concessions are available. Attendees are e
 ncouraged to pack a picnic or bring a boxed supper from a downtown restaur
 ant.</p>
