 e 4th Annual Great Cake Bake is set for this Saturday at Neyland Stadium</

 cakes have been entered in the competition to benefit Knox County’s Imagin
 ation Library</em></span></p>\n<p>With competition stiffer than a good mer
 ingue\, this year’s Great Cake Bake promises a delicious view of the regio
 n’s sweetest creations. A record-breaking number of cakes will be on displ
 ay. More than 180 cakes have been entered in three divisions: All Occasion
 \, Wedding\, and Single Cupcake. Bakers of all ages and skill sets are tes
 ting their talents for the benefit of Knox County’s Imagination Library.</
 p>\n<p>The Great Cake Bake highlights the region’s cake decorating skills 
 in a competition and public exhibit on <strong>Saturday\, February 23\, 20
 13 </strong><strong>at the Tennessee Terrace in Neyland Stadium. </strong>
 The doors open to the public from<strong> </strong><strong>12-5 pm</strong
 ><strong>.</strong> Every dollar raised will buy a book for a child in Kno
 x County. Tickets cost $10\, and children under 12 get in for free.  Parki
 ng is convenient and free.</p>\n<p>From a bubble bath-loving M&M to the St
 arship Enterprise\, attendees are likely to see just about anything made o
 ut of flour\, sugar and butter.  But it is not just a feast for the eyes. 
 Participants can bite into some of the tastiest samples from local bakers 
 and enjoy a milk shooter from Cruze Dairy Farms. And most of the cakes are
  for sale. In addition to the competition cakes\, there is a cash and carr
 y bake sale with all kinds of goodies. Families can enjoy children’s craft
 s and cupcake decorating as well.  While professionals judge the categorie
 s\, attendees will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite cake in
  the People’s Choice Awards.</p>\n<p>“The Great Cake Bake is a wonderful e
 vent that shows how the entire community can come together to celebrate cr
 eativity and imagination for the important purpose of education\,” comment
 ed Knox County Mayor Tim Burchett. “Educating our children begins with par
 ents\, and the Imagination Library is an excellent way to support our fami
 lies as a child’s first teacher.”</p>\n<p>The Great Cake Bake is made poss
 ible through the generous support of Food City\, Sugarbaker’s\, Friends of
  the Knox County Public Library\, WVLT\, Knoxville News Sentinel\, B97.5\,
