DESCRIPTION:<p>The 2nd annual 5K Run for the Red will be held Saturday\, Ap
 ril 21 at Panther Creek Park. The run/walk is suitable for beginners and e
 xperienced runners of all ages. Registration is $15.</p>\n<p>“We are looki
 ng forward to another successful event\,” said Red Cross of America\, Lake
 way Area Chapter board chair Terri Conduff. “This will become a signature 
 Red Cross fundraiser and the support from the community is much appreciate
 d.”</p>\n<p>Participants in the 2011 Run for the Red included local runner
 s and some from as far away as Atlanta who were interested in the Panther 
 Creek course.</p>\n<p>All proceeds from Run for the Red will benefit the A
 RC Lakeway Chapter\, to sustain its disaster relief program and community 
 education programs. The recent theft of the chapter’s disaster relief trai
 ler — which contained $30\,000 in supplies — underscores the need for fina
 ncial support from the community.</p>\n<p>Sponsors may still register. Eac
 h sponsor’s logo will be featured on the Run for the Red shirt. For more i
