rforming Arts Center on Saturday\, May 19\, 7:30 p.m. during Iris Festival
  weekend.</p>\n<p>Blood\, Sweat and Tears\, a musical institution\, has le
ft an indelible mark on the American music scene since 1968. According to
Darrell Bryan\, Executive Director of the Niswonger Performing Arts Center
\, “One of the greatest horn bands in the history of popular music\, BS&T’
s alumni roster reads like a Who’s Who of the world’s greatest jazz and ro
ck musicians.”</p>\n<p>The band started out in Greenwich Village in New Yo
rk and has won world-wide acclaim\, becoming the first in many categories:
first band to tour behind the Iron Curtain\, first band to have three hit
singles from the same record\, and first band to combine rock with jazz .
</p>\n<p>BS&T has earned multiple gold albums\, 10 Grammy nominations and
won three Grammy Awards\, including the most prestigious of them all\, Alb
um of the Year. Hits include “You’ve Made Me So Very Happy\,” “Spinning Wh
 eel\,” “And When I Die\,” “God Bless The Child\,” and many more.</p>\n<p>B
S&T cares about local communities. For instance\, after the devastation ca
used by hurricane Katrina in New Orleans in 2005\, BS&T donated money to r
eplace musical instruments and had the entire high school marching band jo
in them on stage for a jam session – a night those kids and some very prou
d parents will never forget.</p>\n<p>Current members of BS&T include Teddy
Mulet\, from Puerto Rico\, who plays several instruments\; Glenn McClella
 nd\, since 1987\; Jason Paige\, vocalist\, who sings 100 plus jingles annu
 ally\; Ken Gioffre\, saxophonist\; Gary Foote\, bass chair for 21 years\;
Steve Jankowski\, musical director and trumpet player\; Jens Wendelboe\, t
 rombone\; Andrea Valentini\, drums for 11 years\; and Dave Gellis\, lead g
uitarist since 1985 and vocalist.</p>\n<p>For ticketing information\, call
