DESCRIPTION:<p>Carson Newman College’s Women of Vision is hosting a ladies’
  luncheon and fashion show on Saturday\, April 21 at The Country Club in M
 orristown.</p>\n<p>The fundraiser for C-N campus projects will offer the l
 atest in spring fashions\, shopping opportunities\, lunch and the fellowsh
 ip of friends of Carson Newman.</p>\n<p>Doors will open at 10 a.m. for sho
 pping and the silent auction. Lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m. in the ba
 ll room.  All attendees will have the opportunity to win door prizes. Tick
 ets are $50.</p>\n<p>Following lunch\, the runway fashion show will be pre
 sented byThe Paris Apartment Boutique & Tea Room located in Sweetwater\, f
 eaturing local models.</p>\n<p>The fundraiser will feature a silent auctio
 n with items including a one-week stay in a rustic cabin on Douglas Lake n
 ear Dandridge\, an original watercolor painting\, an autographed basketbal
 l from Pat Summitt and a one-week stay in a luxury condominium at Shelter 
 Cove on Hilton Head Island during the fall of 2012.</p>\n<p>Vendors will h
 ave booths in the Fireside Room displaying items for purchase\, such as pa
 inted furniture\, original art work\, jewelry\, antique linens\, etc.</p>
 \n<p>Morristown business owner Carol DeMonbreun will offer Sputtmuggins Pa
 inted Furniture.</p>\n<p>“I began ‘up –cycling’ years ago when I was in my
  early twenties. I used furniture that was not being used by anyone and wa
 s in danger of being either discarded or given away\,” DeMonbreun said. “A
 s time has gone on\, I have found myself seeing things on the side of the 
 road and visualizing the finished product before I rescue it.”</p>\n<p>DeM
 onbreun\, who has been a framer for 31 years\, named her hobby-turned-busi
 ness of painting furniture after a favorite word created by her mother dur
 ing childhood.</p>\n<p>“I think it is just a delightful expression that I 
 wanted to incorporate the word into my painted furniture. It is a surprise
  when a chair that has been thrown away is brought back to life for someon
 e to enjoy once again.”</p>\n<p>Other vendors are:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Carolyn 
 White Fashions — hand-knitted\, felted jackets\, wraps\, scarves\, hats\, 
 purses and other items in unique combinations of yarns\, ribbons and fabri
 cs.</li>\n<li>Pam Harmon’s Village 2 World — handmade paper items\, woodca
 rving and jewelry crafted by women artisans in South Asia.</li>\n<li>Sandr
 a Pierce’s FunBangles — silk flower pins embellished with feathers\, vinta
 ge pins\, concrete yard art featuring real leaves\, painted garden edging 
 and hand-crafted note cards that featuring flower and nature photographs.<
 /li>\n<li>Donna C. Harmon’s Original Oils and Watercolors — impressionist 
 watercolors featuring the animals and scenery of East Tennessee and the Sm
 oky Mountains.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Rounding out the vendors are Pattie Lewis\,
  a potter from Knoxville\; The Gardener’s Cottages in Asheville\, N.C.\; A
 rbonne Swiss Beauty Products represented by Tammi McClain of Mt. Carmel\; 
 Cate Creations\, gold and silver handmade jewelry with semi-precious stone
 s crafted by Susanne Cate from Dandridge\; and Susan Nowell’s My Place to 
 Yours in Jefferson City\, featuring antique linens.</p>\n<p>According to D
