 p></div>\n<p>KNOXVILLE\, Tenn. – Award-winning writer Edward T. Sullivan w
 ill lead a workshop to teach others about trends and opportunities in publ
 ishing for young people.</p>\n<p>The workshop\, sponsored by the Knoxville
  Writers’ Guild\, will be held from 10 a.m. to noon\, Saturday\, Oct. 6\, 
 at the Stone House\, Church of the Savior\, 934 North Weisgarber Rd.</p>\n
 <p>“We will look at how to identify publishers for submission and the subm
 ission process for fiction\, informational books\, and picture books\,” Su
 llivan said. “Participants will have the opportunity to share their ideas 
 for potential book projects and ask questions about works-in-progress.”</p
 >\n<p>Sullivan has made a career working with young adults as a writer\, t
 eacher and librarian. His most recent book\, “<em>The Ultimate Weapon: The
  Race Develop the Atomic Bomb</em>” (Holiday House\, 2007)\, received many
  awards\, including a Parents’ Choice Silver Honor Award and a Jefferson C
 up Honor Award for Distinguished History Book for Young People.</p>\n<p>As
  a freelance writer\, he creates educational materials for many publishers
 \, including Harper Collins\, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt\, Little\, Brown\,
  Scholastic and Simon & Schuster. He reviews children’s and young adult bo
 oks for “<em>Booklist</em>\,” “<em>Kirkus Reviews”</em><em> </em>and James
