 lle campus of the University of Tennessee at 7 p.m. Tuesday\, March 6 in R

 a>Karen Shaw has been showing her work professionally for over 35 years an
 d has been included in exhibitions throughout the United States\, Europe a
 nd Central America. Her most recent one- person show was in Paris last spr
 ing. Shaw has received several grants\, among them a National Endowment Fe
 llowship and a New York State Council Individual Artist Grant. Her work is
  part of numerous private and public collections including the Herbert Joh
 nson Museum of Cornell University\, The Vera List Gallery of the New Schoo
 l\, the Israel Museum in Jerusalem and the Museum of Modern Art in New Yor
 k .</p>\n<p>Karen Shaw is not new to Knoxville. She has been a visiting ar
 tist at the Webb School and twice was an artist in resident at The Univers
 ity of Tennessee. She has also taught at Princeton University\, Moore Coll
 ege of Art and Design and in the CUNY University system.</p>\n<p>Almost as
  long as she has been a professional artist\, Shaw has also served as cura
 tor for the Islip Art Museum and Carriage House\, a small museum dedicated
  to contemporary art and installation on Long Island\, New York.</p>\n<p>F
