Registration open for Civil War 150th signature event

Registration is open for Tennessee’s 2013 Civil War Sesquicentennial Signature Event which remembers the 150th anniversary of the Battles for Chattanooga. Titled “Occupation and Liberation,” the commemoration will take place Oct. 9-12, 2013 at the Chattanooga Convention Center and surrounding historic sites and will feature educational symposiums, book signings, special speaker-led ticketed tours and entertainment.  The three-day event kicks off Oct. 9 with the Looking Back Project hosted by Tennessee

It’s time to sign up for Lakeway Little Tennis camp! This camp will teach tennis basics along with providing a fun atmosphere for kids to learn to love tennis. Stamm to teach Personal Evangelism Primer class in June

Larry Stamm of Larry Stamm Ministries will teach a four week Personal Evangelism Primer class on Thursdays in June at Summit Leadership, 3104 Hanover Road, Johnson City.     We are a small group of individuals who save cans for critters. We use the proceeds to provide free or reduced costs spays and nueters. We work with Grainger County Humane Society’s PAL mobile. In 2011 we fixed six animals free of charge. Last year we did 12. It is almost spring, and that means kittens and puppies, many euthinized due to the overload.
