Smokies set to take on Stars

KODAK — For the second time this season and the first time in East Tennessee, the Smokies take on the Huntsville Stars, Double-A affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers, beginning tonight at Smokies Park. The Smokies won the first five-game series 4-1 on April 15-19.  As of May 20, the Stars are 18-25 on the year and 9.5 games out of first place in the North Division of the Southern League.

    It’s time to sign up for Lakeway Little Tennis camp! This camp will teach tennis basics along with providing a fun atmosphere for kids to learn to love tennis.      The Spiders took down the Crickets 14-5 in boys’ minor league. Ethan Kelley’s HR, Brandyn Hoaase’s two hits, and Cole Henson’s two hits led the Spiders, while Lucas Cowan, Jordan Shiflett, and Alex Savalaggio each recorded one hit in the loss.
