Lady Eagles play host to Lee University tonight

  • Smokies offense stagnant in 8-1 loss to Suns

    KODAK — The Tennessee Smokies were unable to keep pace with the Jacksonville Suns both at the plate and in the field, as the Smokies fell to the Suns, 8-1, Sunday at Smokies Park.  The Smokies committed six errors on the night and were out hit in the contest 18-3.   • Hendricks, Smokies blank Generals Wednesday, 6-0

    KODAK — Behind a masterful pitching performance by starter Kyle Hendricks, the Tennessee Smokies defeated the Jackson Generals, 6-0, Wednesday night at Smokies Park. With the win, the Smokies improve to 5-3 in the second half, 39-38 overall.  Hendricks (8-2) was once again dominant when pitching at Smokies Park. The right-hander picked up the victory allowing five hits with a walk and six strikeouts over eight scoreless innings of work.
