Fall Fashion Show to benefit ALPS
Sonya Shipley, Cadie Brown, Wanda Neal and Kathy Jones-Terry demonstrate a few of the latest trends that will be on stage during the Aug. 28 Kelley Marie Chic Boutique Fall Fashion Show at Rose Center Prater Hall in Morristown.
It’s couture time in East Tennessee.
Sure, there’s that fall game with the oddly shaped ball, but fashion is as important in the stands as knowing all the words to the school fight song.
Kelley Marie Chic Boutique has suited up local models to assist Lakeway Area fashionistas to find just the right look from activities at Neyland Stadium to the office or a neighborhood gathering at the backyard fire pit.
The Fall Fashion Show to benefit ALPS will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 28 at Rose Center in Morristown. The doors to Prater Hall will open at 6 p.m.
Accented by items such as Rockwell Tharp boots designed by Chirstian Couple and the Tribal mini chord skirt, the annual show will feature new items specially chosen by boutique owner Kelley Simpson.
“We have so many new items,” Simpson said. “Our new collections include a complete line of knits and sherpa tops that are sets. There are wonderful Boho chic selections from Desigual. We have new Rebel jackets and tunics to go with leggings. Our leggings have new patterns especially designed for the fall season.
“We will also be featuring the new Tribal vegan leather jacket that is machine washable,” she said.
A staple in the boutique, Kringle candles, has introduced a new line of scents.
“The ‘Mulling Spices’ fragrance is like fall in a jar,” Simpson said.
Models at the fashion show will be spotted in the Ginger Snaps collection of accessories that now includes handbags, scarves and knit caps.
Tickets for the Fall Fashion Show are $10 and are available at Kelley Marie Chic Boutique (The Gardens, off West Andrew Johnson Highway) ALPS Adult Day Services (600 N. Daisty St.) and at Prater Hall on the night of the show.
Tickets can be used for a 20 percent discount Aug. 29-30 at Kelley Marie’s.
Door prizes will be given away during the show and refreshments will be offered.
