Rose Center announces ‘An Omega Exhibit’ art exhibition
“Monument Tree with Deer” by Dr. R. Earl Cleveland will be among his exhibit “Omega” which will be displayed at Rose Center’s Edith Davis Gallery.
Rose Center announces the “An Omega Exhibit,” an exhibition of the works of artist Dr. R. Earl Cleveland. The exhibit will be on display in the newly renovated Edith Davis Gallery at Rose Center in Morristown through July 31. The public is invited to an opening reception Sunday, July 13, from 2 to 4 p.m. Dr. Cleveland will give a gallery talk during the reception.
The show is titled “Omega” by the artist, as he declares this will be his last one-man exhibit. It includes 25 works in a wide variety of media and styles. There are large abstracts, detailed watercolors, photographs and his latest work in media synthesis.
“As an artist, I create images that reflect my perceptions of life and incorporate diverse approaches to the use of art media suited to those perceptions,” Cleveland said.
Dr. Cleveland, professor emeritus at Carson-Newman University, has had more than 100 regional and national exhibitions. He is an archival art restorer with 30 years’ experience, and has had numerous professional articles published, as well as six books.
