Narrow Path Youth Ministries, Trinity UMC to honor veterans with luncheon

Narrow Path Youth Ministries of Trinity United Methodist Church will be hosting a free veterans recognition luncheon on Tuesday, July 8 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the multi-purpose facility at the rear of the church. This event is designed to be a recognition for the men and women who have served the USA and for those who still might be active in the military.

Each veteran or active duty soldier is allowed to bring one guest as a part of the event. Lunch will be served beginning at 11:30 a.m. There will be a quick-serve line for those persons needing to get back to work. Others are encouraged to sit down and fellowship with the other veterans.

“We are really excited to host this event,” Brandon Moore, director of youth ministries at Trinity said. “We want to let the veterans and active duty personnel know that we appreciate their sacrifices that are especially significant to us all around the Independence Day holiday. Our celebrations would not be possible without their selfless commitment to excellence on our behalf.”

Although this event is free, it is a ticketed event due to limited seating. If you would like to reserve a spot, call the church office at 423-586-5360 or stop by Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to noon to pick up tickets. Trinity United Methodist Church is located at 425 Wilder Street (behind the east-end Krystal). The Rev. Mike Cutshaw is Pastor.
