CHELIA (POLLY) RAYE BURCHETT

Chelia (Polly) Raye Burchett, 77, of Sneedville, entered into the Kingdom of Heaven on Monday, June 23, 2014. She was born Nov. 15, 1936 in Lee Valley. Polly loved spending time with her family and friends and being involved with church. She was a member of Faith Freedom Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Burchett; son, Ricky Burchett; daughter, Gail Johnson; parents, David and Ora Trent; sisters, Matilda Trent and Emily King and brothers, Lester and Buddy Trent.

Polly is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Vickie and Rick Hightower of Morristown and Teresa and Wilmer Delph of Sneedville; son, Michael Burchett of Ohio;

Grandchildren, Nicole (Scott) Burgin of Whitesburg, Lyn (Jeff) Simmons and Martha (Greg) Simmons of Russellville, Aaron Delph and Amanda (Michael) Collins of Sneedville, Tanya Burchett of Virginia, Mikey Kemmer of Ohio, David Burchett II and Cassi Burchett; and step-grandson, Johnny Acquilla of Florida; great-grandchildren, Alexandria (Tyler) McDaniel of Pigeon Forge, Nicholas Burgin of Whitesburg, Lucas, Callie and Zachery Simmons of Russellville, Rylan Delph, Anthony Goins and Ethan Seal of Sneedville, Robert, Joshua and Jaylynn Burchett of Virginia and Jaidyn Kemmer of Morristown; sister, Barbara (Junior) Mathis of Sneedville; brother, George (Norma) Trent of Morristown; daughters-in-law, Debbie Burchett of Ohio and Debbie Burchett of Florida; honorary family, Jackie, Destiny and Megan New and Katy Lay of Ohio.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, June 26 at the McNeil Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Alonzo Collins and the Rev. Alan Lamb officiating. Special music will be provided by Josh and Tanya Greene. Interment will follow in the Gibson Cemetery

Serving as pallbearers will be Lucas Simmons, Tyler McDaniel, Jourdan Watkins, Gabe Watkins, Shawn Watkins and Zachery Simmons. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Nicholas Burgin, Anthony Goins, Ethan Seal and Jacob Watkins.

The family will have a private viewing for immediate family from 5 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, June 25. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 25 at the McNeil Funeral Home.

Charles E. Keister, 75, of Morristown passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare Systems.

Barry P. Maxwell, 74, of Morristown, passed away Sunday, June 22, 2014 at his residence.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 25 at Thankful Baptist Church with the Rev. Doug Rutherford and the Rev. Barry Warren officiating. The body will lie in state from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow at Bethesda Cemetery.
