Masheldia Lynn “Shelly” Delph, age 47, of Morristown, passed away after a lengthy illness at her residence. She was an LPN having worked at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System, Lakeway Regional Hospital and Jefferson Memorial Hospital.

She is survived by her father and step-mother, Paris and Bonnie Delph of Mooresburg; mother, Brenda Fleenor Delph of Morristown; bonus father, Jim Magness; brother, Tim (Sabrina) Delph of Morristown; step-brothers, James Moorefield of Mooresburg,Tater (Karen) Moorefield of Mooresburg and Bo (Elizabeth) Moorefield of Mohawk; special niece, Ashley Delph; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, June 25 in the chapel of Stubblefield Funeral Home with the Rev. Bruce Brewer and the Rev. David Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Hamblen Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 24 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Stubblefield Funeral Home.

Raymond H. Ewing, age 87, of Morristown, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, June 20, 2014.

Raymond’s going home celebration will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 24 at Westside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Blaine Kelly officiating. Interment will follow at Hamblen Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 1 -2 p.m. Tuesday, prior to the service at the funeral home.

Jimmy Lyle Massey, 71, of Morristown, formerly of Warrensburg, passed away Saturday, June 21, 2014.

Funeral services will be held at Stubblefield Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 25 at 8 p.m. Family and friends will gather on Thursday morning at 10:45 a.m. in Hamblen Memory Gardens for an 11 a.m. graveside service.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the services.

Stubblefield Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.


Barry P. Maxwell, age 74, of Morristown, passed away Sunday, June 22, 2014 at his residence.

Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.


Charles F. Ratliff, 67, grandfather of Deonta, Macey and Charlee, passed away June 21, 2014 at his home in Bulls Gap.

Charles was a proud member of the U.S. Navy during Vietnam. He was a 30 year employee of TVA at John Sevier and Widows Creek. Charles was an active member of Bulls Gap United Methodist Church; member and past Master of Bulls Gap Lodge #764 and Warrensburg Lodge #631 and the Bulls Gap Lions Club.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bryan and Buna Ratliff; brother, Don Ratliff and sister Rose Ann Boggs; niece, Shirley Ratliff and great nephews Jason Robinson and Landon Boggs.

Charles was a family man and is survived by his immediate family Charleen, Chuck amd Chana Ratliff; sisters, Lynda (Butch) Harmon of Lebanon, Deanie (Duane) Evans, Bulls Gap,; brothers, Gary (Tina) Ratliff, Bulls Gap and Billy (Sylvia) Ratliff of Morristown; sister-in-law, Angie Ratliff of Spotsylvania, Virginia and brother-in-law, Larry Boggs of Wise, Virginia; mother-in-law, Marie Bell; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 24 in the east chapel of Allen Funeral Home prior to a Masonic service at 7:00 p.m. conducted by Bulls Gap Masonic Lodge #764.

Edgar Thomas Sapp, age 82, of Bean Station, passed away Friday, June 20, 2014 at 5:20 a.m. at his residence. He was a member of the National Guard.

Mr. Sapp was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Florence Sapp, sisters, Glady Boyd, Viola Williams, Evelyn Shoals, and Francis Thomas, and daughter Donna Lynn Sapp.

Mr. Sapp is survived by his loving wife, Callie Dee Tackett Sapp; sons, Dale Sapp of North Carolina, Martin Abrams of Alabama; step son, Lee Walker of Florida; daughters, Vicki Shea and Teresa Sapp of Florida; step-daughters, Gwen Champagne of Georgia, Jessie Capobianco and Lorrie Williams of Florida, Sandra Ward of Michigan, Tonia Surls of Georgia; grandchildren, Jeannie, Lauren, Jimmy, Amber, Tony, Catherine, Jennifer, John Paul, Billy, Brian, Danielle, Ryan, Brandon, Travis, and Aaron; great grandchildren, include Stella, Callie, Tessa, Taryn, Sarah, Hunter, Koleman, and Kaden Thomas. Mr. Sapp is also survived by a sister, Grace Williams of Florida.

Celebration of life services will be Tuesday, June 24 at 1 p.m. at Mayes Family Services Downtown Chapel with the Rev. Darrell Alder officiating. Visitation will be held from 11a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the service.

Frances W. West, age 92, of Dandridge, passed away at her home on Sunday, June 22, 2014.

She was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Talbott.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Gentry West; grandsons, Christopher Simpson and Colt Jones; son-in-law, Robert Simpson.

She is survived by her children, Marie Simpson, Joyce Edmonds, Alvin (Joyce) West, Janette West, Delmer (Janette) West and Helen (Don) Lane; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; sister, Ruby Harb, also several nieces, nephews and other family members.

The family would like to express a special thank you to Tennova Hospice Nurse Estelle Taylor for her wonderful care and a special friend; Helen Tipton, also a thank you to her private sitter Clara Owen.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 24 at 6 p.m. at Victory Baptist Church in Talbott with the Rev. David Sumner officiating. Family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. prior to the funeral at the church. Graveside Interment will be on Wednesday, June 25 at 10 a.m. in Dandridge Memorial Gardens.
