There’s lots of new live entertainment, including performers from around the globe, at Dollywood for this year’s Festival of Nations, which continues through April 21.One thrilling new shows take center stage for this year’s Festival of Nation’s lineup — the world-wide phenomenon from colombia the elegant “La Danza de Colombia.” a legacy of Sonia Osorio whose members are Rodrigo Obregon (Director) Amparo Sandoval (Assistance) and the dancers lilibeth mena,Gina Vazques,Jheny Rojas,Emilse Herrera,Ivonne Jimenez,Maria Sastoque,Diana Aponte ,Laura Gomez,Jim Hernandez,Juan Calvo ,German Alvarez,Nelson Osorio,Elivis Suarez ,Miguel Ortiz,Ray Giraldo,Rafael Pedraza and the Musicians Nicoyembe Rodriguez (Musical Director) Willian Vargas ,Fabio Jimenez,Miguel Salazar,Ricardo Rodriguez,Leonardo Delgado ,Rodrigo Rincon ,Alexander Rey and representing our community Shirley Poveda and her family who were guests of honor at the ballet .
“”La Danza de Colombia” takes audiences on a journey through the rich heritage of Colombia. This fascinating show provides an elegant look at the majestic folklore and cultural traditions of the Colombian people. Full of the passion of Colombia, the show pairs emotional dance with moving and powerful music to create an experience audiences will not forget. “La Danza de Colombia” takes the Showstreet Palace Theater stage. Festival of Nations features the cultures of more than 20 countries,with the participation of Colombia, Ecuador and Peru, proudly highlighting our Hispanic culture ,represented through authentic demonstrations of music, dance, food and art. Traditional cuisine and cultural activities allow guests a glimpse into the traditions of other countries.
