KIMBERLY DAWN FRAZIER

 

Kimberly Dawn Frazier, age 45, of Del Rio, passed away Friday, Feb. 14, 2014 at Tennova North Knoxville Medical Center. She was employed by Sunoco in Newport.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, George H. and Margaret Jones.

She is survived by her husband of 21 years, Bobby Frazier; son, Kendall Hickey of Knoxville; daughter, Brandy Frazier of Del Rio; parents, Charles O. “Chuck” and Gwendolyn “Gwen” Holden; brother, Chucky (Susie) Holden; mother and father-in-law, Darlene and Quinton Frazier; and several aunts, uncles and nieces.

Funeral services will be at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18 at Westside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Hess and the Rev. T.H. Ferrell officiating. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 19 at Graham’s Cemetery in Baneberry.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, prior to the service at the funeral home.

Bessie Pearl Garretson, 81, of Morristown, passed away at her home Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014.

Jerry Raymond Graham, age 62, of Mooresburg, passed away Friday, Feb. 14, 2014 at his residence.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Graham; son, John E. Graham; and granddaughter, Casey Marie Coffey.

He is survived by a very special daughter, Tabitha Marie Davis; son-in-law, Stacy Lynn Davis; grandchildren, Tyler Davis and Cody (Heather) Davis; great-grandchildren, Caden Davis, Sutton, Tiffany Harvey, and Heather Adkins; and brother, Terry Graham.

Funeral services will be at 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 17 at Westside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Franklin Allen and the Rev. Clifford Dalton officiating. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, February 18 at Hamblen Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, prior to the service at the funeral home.

PHYLLIS BARNES GROOMS

 

Phyllis Barnes Grooms, age 68, of Morristown, passed away Friday, Feb. 14, 2014 at Lakeway Regional Hospital.

She was a long-time employee of Shelby-Williams.

She was preceded in death by her father, Bruce E. Barnes; son, Brian Howard; and brother, Paul Barnes.

She is survived by her sons, David (Amy) Howard of Nashville and John (Kim) Grooms of Morristown; grandchildren, Cullum and Meagan Howard; mother, Beatrice Barnes; sister, Linda Lowe; nieces, Kim Williams and Barbie Scott; nephew, Rusty Lowe; dear friends, Elizabeth Harvey, Amy Guinn, Charlotte Coffey, Billie Ray and Teresa Solomon; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Monday, Feb. 17 at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m. Monday, prior to the service at the funeral home.

JANIS LOIS HELTON

 

Janis Lois Helton, age 69, of Morristown, passed away Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014 at Tennova Hospital in Knoxville.

She was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe J. and Myrtle Ann Robinson; daughter, Shannon Helton; sister, Patricia Jean Miller; and mother-in-law, Gladys Helton.

She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Donald Helton; sons, Jimmy Hatfield, Allen Hatfield, Kevin Hatfield, and Wayne Hatfield; daughter, Renee Hatfield; step-son, David Wayne Helton; step-daughter, Becky Musick; brother, Joe T. (Dorothy) Robinson; sister, Marlene Harwell; sisters-in-law, Janie (Marlyn) Stoots and Sylvia (John) Rhea; brother-in-law, Charles (Pam) Helton; special friends, Mike and Kathy Simmerly and Dot Sunderland; and several grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18 at Westside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Rick Bradbury officiating. Interment will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12 to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mary M. Keys, age 77, of Morristown, went to be with the Lord, Friday, Feb. 14, 2014, at her residence. She was an active member of Mooresburg United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hartsel and Elsie Watts; sister, Billie Austin; brothers, Jimmy, Roy and Geater Watts.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Scott Keys of the home; son, Sammy Joe Keys and wife Vicki of Surgoinsville; grandchildren, Amber and Josh Keys; sister, Barbara Reid and husband Alton; nephews, Ronald, Keith, Roy, Freddy; nieces, Kim, Charlotte, Crystal, Lisa, Elsie, Kathy, Sharon, Rita, and Shirley.

Love Patricia Richards, age 60, of Caney Creek Road in Rogersville, went to be with the Lord Thursday, Feb. 13, 2014 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was a member of Midway Independent Freewill Baptist Church in Mooresburg.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Beulah Bowlin.

She is survived by her husband of 42 years, John Richards Jr.; son, John Richards III and wife, Tonya; daughter, Stephanie Beck and husband, William; two granddaughters, Jailyn Beck and Jordyn Richards; father, Johnny Bowlin; brothers, Lonnie Bowlin and James Bowlin of Mooresburg; sisters, Mae Drinnon, Kathy Cook, Delphia Mitchell, Alma Gilliam, and Virginia Lawson.

The family will receive friends Sunday, Feb. 16, 2014, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Christian-Sells Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 8 p.m. with the Rev. Roger Trent, Reverend Joe Adams, and the Rev. Greg Graybeal officiating. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 17, 2014 at Johnson Family Cemetery.

IRENE STRANGE ‘RENNIE’

 

Irene “Rennie” Strange, age 63, of Morristown, went to be with the Lord Friday, Feb. 14, 2014 at her residence.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Abraham and Mildred Barnett.

She is survived by her husband, William “Bill” Strange; sons, Gary (Lisa) Strange, Terry (Gina) Strange, Bryan (Dell) Strange, Stephen (Michelle) Strange, and Jerry Strange; as well as nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; she is also survived by her sister, Loretta Smith; and brothers, James Barnett, Ruble Barnett, and Glenn Barnett.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18 at Mount Pleasant Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. T.H. Ferrell officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 17 at the funeral home.

MARY GENEVA DYER SUSONG ‘JOHNNIE’

 

Mary Geneva “Johnnie” Dyer Susong, age 79 of Whitesburg, passed away on Friday, Feb. 14, 2014 at Signature Health of Rogersville. She was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, C. Randle Susong; parents, Elbert (Buck) and Pearl Dyer; brothers, Paul and W.E. Dyer; and sister, Irene Dyer.

Survivors include her son, Randle (Bobbie) Susong of Whitesburg; grandchildren, Kristina (Matt) Pfrommer of Huntsville, Ala., Adam (Kayce) Susong of Clarksville, and Erin (Dustin) Frost of Morristown; great-grandchildren, Henry Pfrommer, Parker, Carson, Molly Susong, Emma and Tyson Frost; sister, Ann Livesay of Jacksonville FL; and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will meet on Monday, Feb. 17 at 10:45 a.m. in Fairview Cemetery for an 11 a.m. graveside service. The Rev. Tim Seaton will officiate. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

SARAH JANE THOMAS

 

Sarah Jane Thomas, age 70, of Morristown, passed away Friday, Feb. 14, 2014 at Select Specialty Hospital in Knoxville.

She was a loving sister, aunt, and friend to everyone that knew her and a member of Morningside Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Aldon and Ruby Thomas; sister, Ann Newlin; nephew, Michael Atkins; and brother-in-law, Farrell Kennedy.

Survivors include her sisters, Margie F. Kennedy and Mary F. Atkins; brother, Johnny Thomas; brothers-in-law, Ursell B. Atkins and Alvin Newlin; nieces, Sandra R. Kennedy, Beth Ann Roach, Janet E. Kappa, and Christy Williams; nephews, Thomas Kennedy, Clark Atkins, Jeffery Newlin, and Scotty Thomas; loving friend and companion, Floyd “Toots” Mantooth, Jr.; and her dog “Shorty”.

Visitation for family and friends will be noon until 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 17, 2014 in the chapel of Mayes Family Services, Downtown and funeral services to follow at 1 p.m. with the interment following in Hamblen Memory Gardens.

ROBERT ALLEN WILLIAMS

 

Robert Allen Williams, 52, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2014 after suffering from a series of strokes. He will be remembered for his infectious sense of humor, his creativity and beautiful voice. His spiritual conviction and commitment to All Saints’ Church could be seen in his beautiful flower arrangements and joyful participation in the choir.

He is survived by his partner of 27 years, David Lee Burnette; his sister Kim Ratner and husband, Matthew; his niece, McKenzie and nephew, Taylor; and mother, Doris Williams.

He is preceded in death by his father, George Williams; his grandfather, Robert Treece and his grandmother, Virginia Treece.

Funeral services will be held at All Saints’ Episcopal Church on Sunday, Feb. 16 at 2:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the flower fund of All Saints’ Episcopal Church.
