J.W. Bryant, 86, of Morristown, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2014 at The Heritage Center in Morristown.

Jenny Lindsey Ailey Bullis, 53, of Dandridge, went home to be with Lord on Jan. 26, 2014, after a seven-year courageous battle against lung cancer. She was a member of Dumplin Baptist Church and a former employee of Jefferson Memorial Hospital, where she worked for 20 years in the business department.

She is survived by husband, John C. Bullis of Dandridge; parents, Clyde and Mildred Lindsey of Dandridge; sons and wives, John and Christy Ailey of Knoxville, Jason and Priscilia of Kodak; grandchildren, Matthew, Alex and Madison Ailey of Knoxville; step-grandchildren, Andy Romine, Theron and Danika Blankenship of Kodak; brother, Gary Lindsey of New Market; nieces, Amanda Pruitt, Leslie Ferguson, and Haley Lindsey; brothers-in-law and sisters-in law, Ronnie and Mary Bullis, Lynn and Rita Bullis, Jackie and Melody Bullis, Gail and Wayne Farrow, Joan and Mike Zachary; extended family, Bob and Polly Ailey; and special friend, Mary Cameron.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. at Dumplin Baptist Church, 1843 West Dumplin Valley Church Road, New Market, TN 37820 with a memorial services following.

LAUREL JEAN GUYETTE CREAZZO

Laurel Jean Guyette Creazzo, 65, of Morristown, departed this life at home on Jan. 25, 2014 in Fuquay Varina, N.C. after her valiant fight against cancer. She was a co-owner of Kidocio Fun Science for Kids in Raleigh, N.C. She enjoyed dancing most of her life. And she loved spending time with her family and friends.

Laurel was preceded in death by her parents, Leslie and Lucille Guyette.

She is survived by her three children, Leigh Ann Jensen of Fuquay Varina, N.C., Michael Wemlinger (Melanie) of League City, Texas, and Kristin Hill (Daniel Hill) of Winter Park, Fla.; her grandchildren, Michael Jensen, Gabe Jensen, Grady Hill and Emma Hill; siblings Susan Riner married to Steven Riner of Morristown and Cherie Moran married to Joe Moran of Bonita Springs, Fla.; nieces and nephews, Shonda Johnson (Greg Johnson) Griffin and Taylor Johnson, Leslie Burchell (Evan Burchell) Eli Burchell, Christopher Carpenter, Joshua Carpenter and Ryan Carpenter.

The family of Laurel would like to thank The Cancer Center of North Carolina, especially Dr. Roy Cromartie, the nurses of Wake Med Hospital, Dr. Jeffrey Abrams, Hospice of Wake County, and all the fine people who gave her such wonderful care.

The family will receive friends and family at Allen Funeral Home in Morristown from 7 to 8:30 p.m. The family will have a private burial the following day.

James L. Davis, 79, of White Pine, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2014 at Physicians Regional Medical Center in Knoxville.

Patsy Estep, 61, born on Sept. 2, 1952, left this world to be with the Lord on Jan. 27, 2014. Patsy was saved at an early age at Calvue Baptist Church and had a strong faith in God. She was a member of Westview Baptist Church in Morristown.

She is preceded in death by her parents, D.A. Jones Sr. and Wanda June Lee Jones; brothers, James Jones and D. A. Jones Jr.; and an aunt, Linda Talley; grandparents, Rosa Irene Lee, James Boyd Lee, Bertha and Johnny Jones.

She is survived by her husband, Johnny Estep; sons, Chad Estep, Shane Estep; daughter-in-law, Rachel Estep; sister, Cheryl Clarkston, sisters-in-law, Brenda Rogers, Marion Roark, Terry Kurkendall, brothers-in-law, Sid Clarkston, J.C. Rogers, Floyd Roark; aunts, Anita Carpenter, Jimmie Lee, Peggy Hagwood, Georgia Jones; her grandchildren, D. J. Hamalton C. Fairchild, 71, of Talbott, passed away Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014 at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 30 at Westside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. James Tullock officiating. Interment will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, prior to the service at the funeral home.

IRMA AILEEN FLETCHER

Irma Aileen Fletcher, 83, of Whitesburg, passed away peacefully on Monday, Jan. 27, 2014, after living a happy, healthy life. She was surrounded by family at Hawkins County Memorial Hospital.

Aunt Irma loved Jesus, her family and her church. She had a heart for children and disabled veterans. She was a faithful, lifetime member of Talley’s Chapel United Methodist Church, where she served as church secretary and treasurer for more than 42 years. She quit school at the age of 16 to go to work. In 1983, at age 53, along with her sister, Betty, she returned to night school and received her GED. She was the family historian and storyteller. She retired from Lee Industries.

Irma was preceded in death by her parents, Harold Clifford and Mary Wilson Fletcher; brothers, John Hull, Robert Fletcher and Billie Joe Fletcher; and sister, Wanda “Tootsie” Pool.

She is survived by her sister, Betsy Stroud of St. Clair; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and family friends.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Jan. 30 at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Stubblefield Funeral Home. The Rev. Roy Dalton, Ron Stroud and the Rev. Charles Heck will officiate. Family and friends will meet in Hamblen Memory Gardens on Friday at 10:45 a.m. for an 11 a.m. graveside service. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. prior to the services at the funeral home.

David Wayne Howard, 32, of Mooresburg, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Faye Campbell from Whitesburg and father, Conrad Howard from Morristown.

He is survived by his wife, Kristy Nicole Dalton Howard; sons, Morgan Wayne Howard and Andrew Ray Junior Howard; father, Will Campbell Jr; mother, Carolann Howard; brothers, Mike Howard, Jeremy Howard of Rogersville, Dan Swiney of Whitesburg, Dwayne Deborde of Whitesburg, Dennis Deborde of Whitesburg; sisters, Joann Heck of Morristown and Donna Jones of Whitesburg; several nieces, nephews, cousins and several great friends.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, Jan. 31 at 8 p.m. in the chapel of Stubblefield Funeral Home with the Rev. Jim Jarnigan and the Rev. Robert Jarnigan officiating. Family and friends will meet at 1:45 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 1 in Kirkpatrick Cemetery in Mooresburg for a 2 p.m. graveside service. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. in the chapel of Stubblefield Funeral Home with funeral to follow on Friday night.

Jean Smith Morgan, 77, of Rutledge, who was saved at an early age, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, Jan. 27, 2014 at Fort Sanders Hospital. She was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church of Rutledge.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Alma Cole; brothers, the Rev. Al Smith, the Rev. Jim Smith and Fred Smith.

She is survived by her husband, Junior morgan; daughter, Gail of the home; daughters, Vicki (Garry) Duck of Rutledge, Patty Morgan, Teresa Ellington and Tracy (Jeff) Akard, all of Morristown; grandsons, Bengi Proffitt, Travis “Mooder” (Alicia) Proffitt, Matthew (Crystal) Duck, Adam (Jenna) Morgan and Andy (Jessie) Morgan; nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Betty Runion, Helen Morgan and Katherine Hammer; brother, Alan Smith; several nieces and nephews.

Kenneth Wayne “Bud” Smith, 76, of Morristown passed away Monday, Jan. 27, 2014 at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System after a lengthy illness. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

He was preceded in death by his son, Louis Smith; mother and father, John and Hazel Dearing Smith; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Paul and Ruby Gibson; sister, Micki Freeman; nephews, Tim and Phillip Smith and Jay Freeman.

He is survived by his wife, Helen Gibson Smith; son, Mark Wayne (Melissa) Smith; granddaughters, Erica and Sarah Smith; special great-granddaughter, Jaelynn Staples; brothers, James “Littleman” (Ann) Smith of Morristown and Tommy (Joyce) Smith of Taylor, Mich.; special sisters-in-law, Merty Eidson, Jerusha (Tootie) Young, Linda (Bobby) Gibson and special neighbors, Charlie and Margaret Collins.

Elmer Wilder, 75, of Morristown, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2014 at his home in Whitesburg. Elmer was of the Baptist faith. He retired from General Motors after 30 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Ethel Wilder and a brother, Berlin Wilder and Bill’s parents, Lemuel Wilder and Eliza Lawson.

He is survived by his wife of seven years, Joann Wilder; children, Gary Wilder, Michael Wilder, Sharon (Bobby) Winstead, David (Helene) Wilder; and a granddaughter, Tiffany (John) Hollon; sisters, Patricia Lucas, Annette (Bo) Ison, Mary (Sonny) Evans; as well as the mother of his children, Jean Wilder; several nieces and nephews.
