MABEL ANN BREEDING

Mabel Ann Breeding, 91, of Knoxville, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Jan. 26. She passed peacefully in her sleep and was free of pain. She will be sorely missed by her family and all that have known her.

Mabel was born on May 27, 1922 and attended Whitesburg High School where she met her high school sweetheart, P.M. Breeding. The two were married on May 31, 1941 and recently celebrated their 71st anniversary. After she was married, she lived in Russellville, Oak Ridge and then settled in the Karns community. They resided in Karns for the next 60 years where they were members of Grace Baptist Church.

They moved to Morristown in 2007 and P.M. Breeding passed away in November of 2012. Mabel enjoyed sewing, needlepoint, knitting, cooking and taking care of her family. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother that loved the Lord and loved her family. Her legacy will live on through her family who aspire to follow her example.

Mabel is survived by her son, Jimmy Breeding and wife, Betty; her daughter, Pamela Barnes; her grandchildren, Angela Breeding, Valarie Kagle and husband, Dale, Ian Barnes and wife, Tabitha, Tony Barnes and wife, Cindy; and her great-grandchildren, Adam, Cody, Ethan, Emily, Isaac, Abigail, Nathan and Silas.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, Jan. 29 from 1 to 2 p.m. at Highland West Memorial Funeral Home, with funeral service to immediately follow at 2 p.m. A short burial service will take place at Oak Ridge Memorial Park following the funeral service.

LAUREL JEAN GUYETTE CREAZZO

Laurel Jean Guyette Creazzo, 65, of Morristown, departed this life at home on Jan. 25, 2014 in Fuquay Varina, N.C. after her valiant fight against cancer. She was a co-owner of Kidocio Fun Science for Kids in Raleigh, N.C. She enjoyed dancing most of her life. And she loved spending time with her family and friends.

Laurel was preceded in death by her parents, Leslie and Lucille Guyette.

She is survived by her three children, Leigh Ann Jensen of Fuquay Varina, N.C., Michael Wemlinger (Melanie) of League City, Texas, and Kristin Hill (Daniel Hill) of Winter Park, Fla.; her grandchildren, Michael Jensen, Gabe Jensen, Grady Hill and Emma Hill; siblings, Susan Riner married to Steven Riner of Morristown and Cherie Moran married to Joe Moran of Bonita Springs, Fla.; nieces and nephews, Shonda Johnson (Greg Johnson) Griffin and Taylor Johnson, Leslie Burchell (Evan Burchell,) Eli Burchell, Christopher Carpenter, Joshua Carpenter and Ryan Carpenter.

The family of Laurel would like to thank The Cancer Center of North Carolina- especially Dr. Roy Cromartie, the nurses of Wake Med Hospital, Dr. Jeffrey Abrams, Hospice of Wake County, and all the fine people who gave her such wonderful care.

The family will receive friends and family at Allen Funeral Home in Morristown, from 7-8:30 p.m. The family will have a private burial the following day.

Billy Crittenden, 49, of Whitesburg, passed away suddenly Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2014 at his home in Whitesburg.

PATSY ESTEP

Patsy Estep, 61, born on Sept. 2, 1952, left this world to be with the Lord on Jan. 27, 2014. Patsy was saved at an early age at Calvue Baptist Church and had a strong faith in God. She was a member of Westview Baptist Church in Morristown.

She is preceded in death by her parents, D.A. Jones Sr. and Wanda June Lee Jones; brothers, James Jones and D. A. Jones Jr.; and an aunt Linda Talley; grandparents Rosa Irene Lee, James Boyd Lee, Bertha and Johnny Jones.

She is survived by her husband, Johnny Estep; sons, Chad Estep, Shane Estep; daughter-in-law, Rachel Estep; sister, Cheryl Clarkston; sisters-in-law, Brenda Rogers, Marion Roark, Terry Kurkendall; brothers-in-law, Sid Clarkston, J.C. Rogers, Floyd Roark; aunts, Anita Carpenter, Jimmie Lee, Peggy Hagwood, Georgia Jones; her grandchildren, D. J. Estep and Brandon Estep; nephews, Scott Davis, Aaron Davis, Nathan Clarkston, Brian Clarkston; niece, Jamie Smith; mother-in-law, Lucille Estep; cousins, Deborah Shelton, Stanley Carpenter, Jimmy Carpenter, Micki Hagwood, Lakieta Good, Olin Loftin, Dawn Hickman, Larry Hickman, Lee Ann Kiser, Dennis Talley; very special family friends, Heather Johnson and Tommy Jarnigan; and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.

HAMALTON C. FAIRCHILD

Hamalton C. Fairchild, 71, of Talbott, passed away Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014 at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System. He served in the U.S. Navy and retired as an airline pilot from World Airways after 39 years. He was a general aviation enthusiast, loved wood-working, and was an avid fisherman. He was a loving husband and devoted father.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Vesta Fairchild; and brothers, Wolford Douglas, Samuel L. Fairchild and Lonnie Fairchild.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Francine Fairchild; daughters, Elizabeth Fairchild of Knoxville and Sarah Fairchild of Washington, D.C.; brother, Hurley (Delores) Davis of Eaton Town, N.J.; sister-in-law, Martha Douglas of Stanfield, Ore.; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29 at Westside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. James Tullock officiating. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 30 at Jefferson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, prior to the service at the funeral home.

Irma Aileen Fletcher, 83, of Whitesburg, passed away on Monday, Jan. 27, 2014.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Jan. 30 at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Stubblefield Funeral Home. Family and friends will meet in Hamblen Memory Gardens on Friday at 10:45 a.m. for an 11 a.m. graveside service. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. prior to the services at the funeral home.

Brenda Kay Miller, 58, of Sneedville, passed away Sunday, Jan. 26, 2014. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe Tom and Ivy Cole and daughter, Karen Sue Cole.

Survivors include son, James Hopson and Miranda of Rutledge; grandchildren, Leah Hopson, Briela Hopson, Eastyn Hopson, Marissa Johnson and Ethan Johnson; sister, Glenda Allen; brother, Charlie Cole; nephews, Steve Cole, Jessee Allen, and Joey Cole; niece, April Chittum.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 30 at the McNeil Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Porter Carroll and the Rev. Curt Reed officiating. Special music will be provided by the Swan Creek Quartet. Interment will follow in the Carroll Cemetery.

Ruth G. Moyers, 73, of Bean Station, received her robe and crown Jan. 26, 2014. She was a charter member of Calvary Baptist Church of Mooresburg.

She was preceded in death by infant son, Jackie Dean; parents, Hugh and Eva Purkey; brothers, Dean and Jr. Purkey; and sister, Doris Bailey.

Survivors include her son, Donald (Julie) Moyers of Mooresburg; grandchildren, Donnie (Desilee) Moyers, Crystal Moyers; and great-granddaughter, Cassandra Moyers; sister, Barbara Hilton of Bean Station; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28 in the chapel of Smith-Reagan Funeral Home of Rutledge with the Rev. Robert White officiating. The family will receive friends 5 to 7 p.m. prior to services Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Family and friends will gather 10:45 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29 in Meadow Branch Cemetery for an 11 a.m. graveside service.

Joseph Edward Parrott Jr., 54, of Bulls Gap, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014 at Hawkins County Memorial Hospital.

He was preceded in death by his mother, June Yount.

Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Claudia Parrott; father, Joseph Edward Parrott Sr.; brothers, William Parrott, John Parrott; sister, Mary Brooks; stepchildren, Christy Smith, Claudia Smith, Jeanice Smith, James Smith; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Daniel Kyle Trail, 60, of Morristown, passed away Friday, Jan. 24, 2014 at Ridgeview Terrace Nursing Home, Rutledge.

He was preceded in death by parents, Lonnie and Barbara Trail; sister, Pam Bible.

He is survived by children, Amber, Shane, Miranda, Courtney and Breanna Trail; grandchildren, Bailey and Hayden Trail, Trinity West, Nathan Trail, Rylie and Bryson Morgan and Jayden Trail, and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family would like to say thank you to the staff of Ridgeview Terrace in Rutledge. The family will receive friends 2:30 until 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29 at Farrar Funeral Home, family and friends will gather at 3:45 p.m. Wednesday at Flat Gap Church Cemetery for a 4 p.m. graveside service with the Rev. Martin Roach officiating.
