Rosemary Emery Beier, 87, of Morristown, passed away Monday, Jan. 13, 2014 at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System.

The family will receive friends 5 – 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 16 in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home prior to the funeral service at 7 p.m. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 17 at Hamblen Memory Gardens.

Martha Jane Collins, 57, of Thorn Hill, went to be with the Lord on Jan. 13, 2014

Jayden Wayne Davis, 7, of Thorn Hill, passed away on Friday, Jan. 10, 2014.

Patsy Davis, 64, of Jefferson City, passed away at 2:15 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 12, 2014 at her residence following a brief illness. She was a member of Chestnut Grove United Methodist Church and attended Grants Chapel United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Melissa Widmann and father, Frank (Shorty) McSpadden.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 22 years, Johnny Davis of Jefferson City; daughters, Robin Pendleton and Misty Hill, both of Morristown; grandchildren, Amanda Widmann of Morristown, Anthony Widmann of Newport, Megan Widmann of Jefferson City, Coty Burton (Leslie), Trevor Hill and Devin Hill, all of Morristown; great-grandchildren, Killyen Myers and Maleah Widmann, both of Morristown; mother, Barbara McSpadden of Dandridge; sisters, Judy Gray of Dandridge and Kathy Holt of Morristown; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14 at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Fred Hammer and the Rev. Charles Shipley officiating. Family and friends will gather at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15 to proceed to Jefferson Memorial Gardens for an 11 a.m. graveside interment service. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. Tuesday evening prior to the funeral service at the funeral home.

ABNER B. FEE

Abner B. Fee, 80, of Bybee, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, Jan. 12, 2014 at The Heritage Center Nursing Home. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Fee and Elizabeth Fee; sister, Mae;  and children, Michael Fee, T.J. Brotherton, Donnie Brotherton, and Katherine Walker.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 40 years, Mary Fee; children, Andre (Nancy) Fee, Tina, Gelena, Keith Fee, Patricia (L.E.) Livingston, Billy (Sue) Brotherton, Lloyd Brotherton, Linda Hill, Carolyn Brotherton and David Brotherton; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14 at Westside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Jimmy Hollifield officiating. Military graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15 at Bear Creek Cemetery in Cocke County. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, prior to the service at the funeral home.

Lois M. Jones, 88, of Morristown, passed away Monday, Jan. 13, 2014 at The Heritage Center.

ARLIE V. ‘ROD’ LONG

Arlie V. “Rod” Long, 68, of Bean Station, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 11, 2014 at his residence. He was the owner of Long’s Carpet service in Morristown. He was U.S. Marine veteran serving in Vietnam.

Mr. Long was a member of Hamblen Lodge No. 767 Free and Accepted Masons in Morristown. He was a 33rd degree Scottish Rite Mason in the Knoxville Scottish Rite Masons since December 2013, a member of KerbelaTemple in Knoxville and Morristown Shrine Club. He was serving as vice-president of Lakeway Area (HamblenCounty) Scottish Rite Club and he was very active in the annual Hamblen County Scottish Rite shoe distribution for children.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Van and Ruby Frances Long; two sisters and an infant brother.

He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Dianne Long; son, Greg Long of Morristown; grandchildren, Brandon Long, Tristen Lovelace and Arissa Belle; stepdaughter, Tabitha McGinnis and Rebecca Lovelace; sister, Anne Lee; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 15 at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Stubblefield Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Williams officiating. Family and friends will meet at 1:45 p.m. in Long Family cemetery in Bean Station for a 2 p.m. graveside service. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, Jan. 15 from 5 to 7 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

Jackie E. Lowe passed away Jan. 13, 2014 at his home.

He is survived by his wife, Laura Lowe; son, Bryant (Jennifer) Lowe of Knoxville.; daughter, Reneaue’ (Chris) Railton, of Raleigh, N.C.; grandsons, Erik Baird and T.J. Lowe; granddaughters, Madison and Chelsea Railton and Macy Lowe; and special nephew, Michael Rayle; sister, Joyce Rosenbalm.

A celebration of Jackie’s life will be held at a later date.

Evelyn D. Morris “Nana,” 80, of Morristown, passed away Sunday, Jan. 12, 2014 at Lakeway Regional Hospital. She was born in Hartsville, S.C. and worked at U-Save Drug in Rogersville for more than 40 years. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend and was a giving and caring person with a strong Christian faith. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Morris; and parents, Franklin and Kate Parnell.

She is survived by her son, Mitchell Morris and partner, Keith Jinks; daughter, Julie (Gary) Wilder of Whitesburg; adopted daughter/granddaughter, Misty (Timmy) Lovin; grandchildren, Rachel (Josh) Wykle and Michael (Laurie) Morris; step-grandchildren, Matt Lovin, Miranda Lovin and Elliott Lovin; great-grandchildren, Brianna Wykle, Austin Wykle, Jacob Morris, Rebekah Morris and Hannah Morris; niece, Gayle Moore; special friends, Mark Quarles, Edith Price, Vivian Kimbrough, Sandra Shiflet and Craig Whitling; all of her Grace Baptist Church family; friends at Buffalo Trail McDonalds; and several family members in South Carolina.

Funeral services will be at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15 at Westside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. James Williams and the Rev. Randy Irons officiating. Entombment services will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 16 at Hamblen Memory Gardens Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, prior to the service at the funeral home.

Brian D. Quackenbush, 70, of Morristown, passed away Monday, Jan. 13, 2014 at his home.

James D. Sutton of White Pine passed away Sunday, Jan. 12, 2014 at Newport Medical Center.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George Herman Sutton and Rosie Greene Sutton; also by his wife, Barbara Jean Patty Sutton.

He is survived by his brother, Edgar Sutton of Morristown; daughter, Cathy (Trent) Duponte of Maryville; son, Jeff (Tammy) Sutton of Orange Park, Fla.; and daughter, Sammi (Tommy) Winstead of White Pine; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews as well as a host of friends.

The family would like to express a special thanks to Deborah Whitaker for the special care she has given him over the past couple of years. They would also like to thank Dr. Thomas Conway and Lindsey Brown Henderson FNP for their continued care for many years.

The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations be made to the: White Pine Senior Citizens Center, 1824 Maple Street, White Pine, TN 37890.

LORAN A. WHALEY

Loran A. Whaley, of Dandridge, passed away Saturday morning, Jan. 11, 2014 at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville. He was the son of the late C.W. and Maudie Smelcer Whaley of Sevier County.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Frank J. Whaley.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia (Pat) Finchum Whaley; brother, Loy H. Whaley (Ronda) of Sevierville; sister-in-law, Maxine O. Whaley of Knoxville; nieces, Karen Whaley Patrick (Jason) of Sevierville, Patricia Whaley Walker (Mark) of Knoxville, Pamela Whaley Lee (Dr. Richard T.) of Knoxville; nephew, Jeffrey F. Whaley of Alabama; several great-nephews and nieces.

Loran was a graduate of Sevier County High School and attended the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, and served as an MP in the United States Army. He was stationed in Korea from March 1951 until the cease-fire in the summer of 1953. He was a lifetime member of the Dandridge V.F.W. Post No. 3380 and was also a member of the First Baptist Church of Dandridge. He retired as branch manager of the Jefferson Farmers Co-op in Dandridge after 37 years of employment with the company.

There will be no formal visitation service, however friends may call at the family home, 904 Holtsinger Drive in Dandridge after 4 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday and anytime at their convenience at Farrar Funeral Home in Dandridge. Private graveside services with full military honors will be held at Shiloh Cemetery in Pigeon Forge with the Rev. Dr. Robert F. Brown officiating.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the building fund of the First Baptist Church of Dandridge, P.O. Box 246, Dandridge, TN 37725.
