Harry James Adler Jr., 48, of Jefferson City, passed away Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014 at his home.

Visitation for family and friends will be 5-7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 10 at Mayes Family Services, West Chapel and funeral service to follow at 7 p.m. with the Rev. Gary Satterfield and the Rev. Adrian Lawler officiating. Family and friends will gather at Sunderland Cemetery Saturday, Jan. 11 for an 11 a.m. graveside service with the Rev. Kenny Cole officiating.

Brenda Vickie Greene Cox, 71, of Bean Station, passed away Monday, Jan. 6, 2014, at her residence. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church and a former member of Yellow Branch Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Sollie and Myrtle Roberts-Greene; brothers, Otis (Averial), Clure and Alan Greene; and sister, Lucille Buttry.

She is survived by her husband, Clarence Cox; daughters, Gretchen Cox of Rutledge and Angela (Mark) Bailey of Maynardville; she leaves behind three precious grandchildren, Zachary Williams (Ashley Wilson) of Rutledge and Ashton and Chance Bailey of Maynardville; Brenda is also survived by her stepson, Rickie (Christine) Cox of Pennsylvania; step-grandchildren, Erin, Jodi and Emma; two sisters, Lorene Cantwell of Talbott and Loretta Jones of Morristown; special sisters-in-law, Teresa Greene of Morristown and Carolyn Greene of Rogersville; and a host of family and friends that will miss her dearly.

Funeral services will be at 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 9 at Westside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Buster Jarvis officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 10 at Hamblen Memory Gardens for graveside services. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, prior to the service at the funeral home.

Billy Ellis Greene, 71, of Morristown, previously of Sneedville, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Jan. 5, 2014.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 8 at 8 p.m. in the chapel of Stubblefield Funeral Home. Family and friends will meet in Hamblen Memory Gardens at 9:45 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 9 for a 10 a.m. graveside service. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

Billy Jack McClain, 80, of White Pine, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2014 at his residence.

NAOMI WOODRUFF ROBISON

Naomi Woodruff Robison, 82, died peacefully at home on Jan. 5, 2014. Having grown up in Carrollton, Ga., she spent most of her adult life in Griffin, Ga. before moving to Jefferson City in 1994.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Charles Robison; two daughters and sons-in-law, Dr. Priscilla Jefcoat and Keith Jefcoat of Gainesville, Ga. and Donna Rickman, RN and Jeff Rickman of Talbott; three grandchildren, Vince Rickman and wife, Jenny Rickman of Talbott, Kathy Conway and Chris Jefcoat, both of Gainesville, Ga., and five great-grandchildren.

She was a member of Leadvale Baptist Church in White Pine where her husband has served as pastor and senior adult minister, except for a short period, since 1994.

Funeral services will be held at Leadvale Baptist Church on Thursday, Jan. 9 at 7 p.m. with visitation beginning at 4 p.m. The Rev. Charlie Harkleroad, Leadvale Baptist pastor, will officiate.

The family requests that friends make donations to the Leadvale Baptist Church building fund in lieu of flowers.

Burial will be on Friday at 11 a.m. in Hillcrest Cementary in Dandridge.

Lorraine Russell, born May 28, 1929, of Maryville, previously of Morristown, died Jan. 1, 2014 at UT Medical Center in Knoxville.

A memorial service will be held at Calvary Baptist Church, 706 Rosedale Avenue, Morristown.

GEORGE ED SATTERFIELD

George Ed Satterfield, 86, of Rutledge, passed away Monday, Jan. 6, 2014 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Knoxville after a lengthy illness. He was saved at an early age, and was a lifetime member of New Blackwell Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by parents, Bud and Della Satterfield; an infant daughter, Ronda Sue Satterfield; two sons, Joe and Doyle Satterfield; five sisters and two brothers.

Survivors include his loving and caring wife of 64 years, Burnice Satterfield; son, Jerry (Penny) Satterfield; daughters, Brenda (Sam) Loveday, Phyllis(Tommy) Greenlee, Marsha Dalton, Tracy Miller, and Jack Dalton; grandchildren, Kim (Kenny) Kinipe of Morristown, Amanda (Wade) Bean, Jeremy (Mary) Satterfield, Derrick (Katrina) Dalton, Jacklyn Dalton and fiancé, Ryan Miles, Nicole (Justin) Walker, Stephanie Miller and Thomas Greenlee, all of Rutledge; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

A special thank you to the staff of CCU at St. Mary’s Medical Center for the love and care shown to our dad and family during this time.

Funeral services will be 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 8 in the chapel of Smith-Reagan Funeral Home in Rutledge with the Rev. Gary Satterfield and the Rev. Mike Patty officiating. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 9 at New Blackwell Baptist Church Cemetery.

Suzan “Suzie” Kerr Smith, 58, of Knoxville, passed away Monday, Jan. 6, 2014.

She was well loved and will be missed by her son, Gary Smith and wife, Leanne; grandchildren, Aiden, Carter and Ansley; mother, Jewell Kerr; sister, Mindy Landry and husband, Gene; brothers, Joseph Kerr and wife, Mona, James (Buddy) Kerr and wife, Terri, John (Chip) Kerr and wife, Aldris; lifelong family friends, Jackey L. NINA GRACE CANTWELL STYKE

Nina Grace Cantwell Styke passed away on Jan. 5, 2014 at the age of 97.

She taught middle school in Hamblen County for 42 years. She was a member of St. Paul Presbyterian Church and was involved in many activities there during her life.

There will be a graveside service on Wednesday, Jan. 8, at 1 p.m. at Jarnagin Cemetery in Morristown. A celebration of life will follow at 2 p.m. at St. Paul Presbyterian Church with pator, the Rev. Diana Moore officiating. The family will receive friends after the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to St. Paul Presbyterian Church, 4540 St. Paul Road, Morristown, TN 37813.
