Robert Wampler Receives Capella Healthcare’s 2013 People Pillar Award

Robert Wampler, a native of Morristown, has been awarded the 2013 “People Pillar Award” by Capella Healthcare. The recognition program was established last year to recognize outstanding contributions in each of Capella’s five Pillars by individuals serving at the corporate office. Nominated by their colleagues and supervisors, these individuals show a consistent passion for excellence in Quality, Service, People, Growth or Finance.

Wampler is Vice-President – Hospital Operations COO / CFO for Capella, which owns and/or operates 14 acute care and specialty hospital facilities in six states. He is the son of Buddy and Joy Wampler.

According to Capella’s CEO Dan Slipkovich, who presented the awards, Wampler received the People Pillar Award in recognition of his dedicated work ethic and “ultimate team player” attitude. “During this past year, Robert assumed additional responsibilities during a restructuring, never once complaining and always looking out for the best interests of the company and those he works with. He made several personal and professional sacrifices to support the company as well as EASTAR Health System in Muskogee by serving as Interim CEO during a transition period,” said Slipkovich.

Wampler and his wife Lorry have two children.
