Academy Mortgage celebrates with Chamber ribbon cutting

The Morristown Area Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon cutting on Thursday, Oct. 7 at Academy Mortgage in Morristown.

Morristown Chamber board chair Randy DeBord welcomed guests to the company’s offices at 5251 W. Andrew Johnson Hwy, and offered a personal recommendation for Branch Manager Beth Elkins.

“Beth is someone that you can really trust,” he said.

Knoxville Branch Manager Chris Burleson seconded DeBord’s recommendation of Elkins.

“She is one of the best loan officers I’ve met,” he said. “We’re very happy to have her. She has been a staple and foundation of this community. She has a passion for clients and willingness to work with clients; it’s never a ‘no,’ it’s always a ‘not now – let’s get you a plan to get a home.’

“Our goal is to have successful home owner for everyone,” Burleson said. “We’re excited to be a part of this community.”

Elkins, who will serve as the branch manager and senior loan officer for the Morristown office, has 12 years of mortgage originating experience, including knowledge of the industry and its rapidly changing environment. She has experience with Conventional, VA, FHA, USDA, Tennessee Housing Development Agency and 203k Renovation Loans.
