Good diabetic foot care can prevent serious complications later

Physician Assistant Michael Franklin will provide helpful tips at a lecture Monday, Nov. 11, at Takoma Regional Hospital.

“We will talk about how to prevent vascular complications for diabetics that can lead to foot and leg problems in the future,” Franklin said.

The lecture is part of the Takoma’s Wellness Education Series, formerly called the diabetes support group. The lecture will be held from 11 a.m. to noon at Takoma’s VolunteerConferenceCenter.

Franklin graduated with a degree in microbiology from the University of Tennessee. He then graduated from the Physician Assistant program at WakeForestUniversity in Winston-Salem, N.C.

Reservations are requested, but not required.
