Kiwanis bring Dailey and Vincent back to Morristown for Christmas show
Grammy-nominated Bluegrass duo Dailey and Vincent will be returning to Morristown this holiday season for a Christmas-themed show at Morristown-Hamblen High School West.
Grammy-nominated bluegrass duo Dailey and Vincent will once again take to the stage in Morristown with a special concert, “The Spirit of Christmas,” on Dec. 15.
The concert will be held in the auditorium at Morristown-Hamblen High School West at 3 p.m.
The concert is sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Morristown, which usually invites the pair for the annual Kiwanis Kapers. A scheduling conflict allowed for a special Christmas show instead.
Dailey and Vincent is one of the top Bbluegrass bands in America. From the very beginning of their partnership in late 2007, Jamie Dailey and Darrin Vincent quickly established themselves as fresh voices in their genre.
Their powerful vocal blends have garnered four award-winning studio albums, and heavy touring schedules playing more than 115 shows per year to sold out crowds in the United States and internationally.
Dailey and Vincent will perform not only their hits and new music but also an infusion of classic Christmas carols. Kiwanis Club member Doug Rouse said the club is proud to host Dailey and Vincent for a second time this year and offer a new performance to the community.
“We’re very excited to host Dailey and Vincent again. They represent themselves so well and never are a disappointing act. They are always happy to help the community,” Rouse said.
Tickets are $20 per person all general admission on a first come first serve basis. Tickets can be ordered online at www.lakewaytickets.com. Tickets can also be purchased at Jefferson Federal Bank, Morristown Trade Center or from any Kiwanis member.
Funds raised from the concert will go toward the Kiwanis Club’s charitable donations throughout the Lakeway Area.
The club has been a longtime supporter of numerous local organizations including the Boys and Girls Club of Morristown, Girls Inc., Imagination Library, M.A.T.S., Boys Scouts, 4-H and others.
Each year, Kiwanis partners with the Hamblen County School System to provide backpacks and school supplies for each child in the pre-k program.
Kiwanis also supports school children in need of shoes through a program with the system.
