The bride-elect graduated from Morristown-Hamblen High School West and a student at Walters State in the pharmacy technician program. She is an employee at CVS Pharmacy in Morristown as a shift supervisor.
The groom-elect is employed at Calloway Auto Sales in Jefferson City.
The wedding will take place at The Barn at Chestnut Springs in Sevierville at 6 p.m. on Oct. 14, 2013. Invitations have been sent.
Joel and Tammy Combs and Eddie and Marty Gilbert announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their children, Whitney Cope and Walt Gilbert.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Tammy and Joel Combs of Morristown and the granddaughter of the Rev. Donald Gulledge and Linda of Morristown and Estel “Shorty” and Dorothy Combs Cobble and the late George T. Combs, all of Morristown.
Whitney is a graduate of Morristown-Hamblen High School East and East Tennessee State University with a Master’s Degree in Social Work. She is currently employed by Youth Villages.
The groom-elect is the son of Eddie and Marty Gilbert of Morristown and the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. James T. Gilbert of Morristown and the late Mr. and Mrs. William T. Hale of Whitesburg.
Walt is a graduate of Morristown-Hamblen High School East and is currently employed by Clayton Homes.
The wedding ceremony will be held Oct. 19, 2013 at Harrell Park.
Terrance and Sherry Monroe of Thorn Hill announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Hannah Elizabeth Monroe, to Matthew David Fox, son of Johnny and Pamela Fox of Washburn.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Everett and Betty Coffey and the late Weir Jr. and Bertha Monroe. She is a 2009 graduate of Washburn High School and a 2011 graduate of Walters State Community College. She is currently employed by Dr. Shaku Patel, D.D.S. as a registered dental assistant.
The groom-elect is the grandson of Doc and Shirley Hensley and Tom and Ellen Fox. He is a 2008 graduate of Washburn High School and a 2012 graduate of Walters State Community College. He is currently employed at Aeropostale as an assistant manager.
Hannah and Matthew will exchange vows on Saturday, Sept. 25 at 5 p.m. The ceremony and reception will be held at Washburn Baptist Church in Washburn. All family and friends are welcome to attend.
After a cruise to the Bahamas, the couple will reside in Talbott.
Mr. and Mrs. Mark and Alice Rogers of Morristown, along with Mr. and Mrs. Porter and Denise Roark of Bean Station, announce the engagement of their children, Bailee Renea Rogers to Joshua Allen Roark.
The proposal was on Rogers Angus Farms where the bride-elect was presented the groom-elect’s maternal grandmother’s, Mrs. Marjorie Lewis, wedding ring, which was a promise made by Josh to his grandmother. Upon her acceptance, Bailee was bestowed a second surprise engagement ring of her own.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. D.D. Roberts and Mr. and Mrs. U.M. Rogers all of Morristown. She is a 2009 graduate of Morristown West High School and a recent 2013 graduate of Carson-Newman University with a B.S. in Elementary Education. She is a first grade teacher and an assistant middle school volleyball coach with the Hamblen County School System.
The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Lester Lewis of Morristown and the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Roark of Bulls Gap. He is a 2000 graduate of Morristown East High School and is employed at N.C.R. Corporation in Morristown.
An October wedding is planned and will be held at The Plantation Barn of 1810 on Rogers Angus Farms in Morristown.
