The bride-elect is the maternal granddaughter of the late Eschol J and Geneva Downie of Vidalia, Ga. Her paternal grandparents are Bebe Moses of Uvalda, Ga. and the late Edward C. Moses. She is a graduate of Darlington School, Rome, Ga. and Western Carolina University, Cullowhee N.C. She is employed with ICF International.
The groom-elect is the maternal grandson of Mary Charles Carson of Morristown and the late Jim Carson. His paternal grandparents are the late William Histaspas Stewart and Helen Koethen Stewart of Hartselle, Ala. He is a graduate of Morristown West High School, Tusculum College, Greenville, and Nashville School of Law. He is currently employed by the law offices of Terry Terry and Stapleton.
An October 19 wedding is planned.
The parents of the bride-elect, Jennifer Schultz and James Drew and parents of the groom-elect, Ted and Donna Jarnagin announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their children, Shannon Drew and Benjamin Jarnagin, both of Hoboken, N.J.
The bride-elect is the daughter of James Drew of Plymouth, Mass. and Jennifer Schultz of Knoxville. She is a graduate of Morristown-Hamblen High School West as well as a recent graduate of the University of Tennessee Knoxville. Shannon is currently employed by Clear Channel Media and Entertainment.
The groom-elect is the son of Ted and Donna Jarnagin of Talbott. He is also a graduate of Morristown-Hamblen High School West and a recent graduate of the University of Tennessee. Benjamin is currently employed by Unilever.
The couple has not yet determined a wedding date.
Mr. and Mrs. Jim McDonald of Maryville, announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Arika Jordan, to Second Lieutenant Daniel George Lowe, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gary Lowe of Russellville. The wedding is planned for 4:30 on the afternoon of Oct. 12, at Willow Tree Cove in Maryville.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Mary Jones and the late Mr. Harold Jones and the late Mrs. Betty McDonald Wilson and Mr. Leroy McDonald.
The bride-elect is a 2008 graduate of Alcoa High School, a 2010 graduate of Walters State Community College with an Associate of Science Degree in General Studies, and a 2013 Nursing graduate from the Tennessee College of Applied Technology at Knoxville. She is employed as a nurse at Asbury Assisted Living in Maryville. Arika will continue her education in the LPN to RN transition program at Thomas Nelson Community College in Hampton, Va.
The groom-elect is the grandson of Mrs. Freeda Davidson and the late Mr. George Davidson of Russellville and the late George and Zula Lowe of Morristown.
The groom-elect is a 2009 graduate of Morristown-Hamblen High School East and a 2013 graduate of Carson Newman University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Human Services and Military Leadership. The groom-elect was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant on May 9, 2013, and will serve in the Transportation and Logistics Branch of the United States Army. He is presently completing Basic Officer Leadership Course (BOLC B) at Fort Lee, Va., and will graduate on Oct. 10, 2013.
