Frequent kapers performers honored again
The duo of Dailey & Vincent is an award-winning act showcasing bluegrass, gospel and country music alike. The duo will be performing in Morristown again Dec. 15 as part of a Christmas Concert.
APA Nashville congratulates the award-winning Bluegrass duo Dailey & Vincent on their three IBMA and five DOVE award nominations.
The duo has sold out performances for the Kiwanis Kapers for years in Morristown and will be the stars of a Christmas Concert in Morristown this year.
Dailey & Vincent is one of the top Bluegrass bands in America. From the very beginning of their partnership in late 2007, Jamie Dailey and Darrin Vincent quickly established themselves as fresh voices in their genre.
The concoction of their powerful vocal blends, four award-winning studio albums and heavy touring schedules has gained them well-deserved attention from bluegrass, country and gospel critics and fans alike.
Their 2013 International Bluegrass Music Association nods include Entertainer of the Year, Vocal Group of the Year and Jamie Dailey for Male Vocalist of the Year.
The duo’s DOVE Awards nominations include: Bluegrass Album of the Year (Gospel Side), Song of the Year (“From My Rags To His Riches” with Devin McGlamery), Bluegrass Song of the Year (“Living In The Kingdom of God”), Bluegrass Song of the Year (“Peace That Covers All The Pain”) and Country Song of the Year (“From My Rags To His Riches” w/ Devin McGlamery).
The duo will play Dec. 15, at the Morristown West High Auditorium for the Kiwanis Christmas celebration.
The concert will begin at 3 p.m. and admission is $20. For more information call Doug Rouse at 423-258-8421 or visit www.lakewaytickets.com to purchase a ticket online.
“They are brilliant ambassadors for Bluegrass, Country and Inspirational music,” said Cass Scripps of APA Nashville. “These nominations are a testament to the duo’s talent and dedication.”
To date, Dailey & Vincent have won an impressive 13 IBMA Awards (including three each for Entertainer of the Year and Vocal Group of the Year) and more than 40 other awards and honors including two Grammy nominations.
IBMA winners will be announced Thursday, Sept. 26 amidst the organization’s “World of Bluegrass” event in Raleigh, N.C.
The 44th Annual Gospel Music Association Awards show will be held in Nashville on Tuesday, Oct. 15.
The duo heads into the award season fresh from their first Dailey Vincent Fest held at Denton Farm Park in Denton, N.C. on Sept. 20 – 21. The stellar line-up for the event includes: The Seldom Scene, Ricky Skaggs & Kentucky Thunder and others.
Dailey & Vincent recently performed before a sold-out audience at the historic Ryman Auditorium and are booked to play the legendary Carnegie Hall in New York City next summer.
