Centenary United Methodist announces Wyke as new pastor
The members of Centenary United Methodist Church, 206 North Jackson Street, Morristown, announce the appointment of their new pastor, the Rev. Bryan Wyke.
Originally from Portsmouth, Va. and the metro Washington D.C. area, Wyke graduated from Fishburne Military School, Waynesboro, Va. and served in the Virginia Army National Guard as an infantryman.
He received a Bachelor of Arts in history from Emory & Henry College in 1998.
After college, Wyke pursued a career in research, working in the fields of defense and social sciences. In May 2005, he received a Master of Divinity degree from Wesley Theological Seminary and in June of 2005, he took probationary membership in the Holston Conference of The United Methodist Church.
He was made an Elder in full connection and a member of the Holston Conference in June of 2008.
The Rev. Wyke and his wife Amanda have two daughters, Cecilia and Claire.
Centenary United Methodist Church looks forward to this new phase in its church history, which has spanned more than 130 years.
