Knoxville Zoo celebrates Princess and Pirate Day

Knoxville Zoo has a special day of make believe fun planned for little rogues and royals. The zoo will host Princess and Pirate Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

On Princess and Pirate Day, children aged 12 and under who come to the zoo dressed as a pirate or a princess will receive free admission to Knoxville Zoo with a paid adult admission. Free admission cannot be combined with any other promotion or discount, and one child free with each paid adult admission on May 11, 2013, only.

Princess and Pirate Day will also feature special swashbuckling activities, including a Sparkle Station for mini-manicures and face painting, and the first 300 guests aged 12 and under will receive a free gift to help celebrate the day. “Real” princesses and pirates will also be visiting the zoo this Saturday to pose for photos, and there will be story times and animal encounters throughout the day.
