ALMA LARUTH GREENE BOLDEN
Alma LaRuth Greene Bolden of Tazewell, was born April 29, 1944 and passed away March 15, 2013. She was a member of Raven Hill Missionary Baptist Church where she taught young childrens’ Sunday school class for several years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer David and Ida Paulene Greene; daughter, Rita Kay Trent and sister, Joyce Ann Sandifer.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, James Harold Bolden; her daughters, Brenda Joyce Collins and Teresa LaRuth Bolden; son, James Harold Bolden II and daughter-in-law, Jacqueline Bolden, all of Tazewell; grandchildren, Kristyn Nicole Huff, Brandi LaRita Collins, Jonathon Patrick Collins, Ashley Danielle Posey, Breanna C. Paige Irivn, James-Dillion Irvin and James Vincent Bolden, all of Tazewell, Michael Derek Trent of Morristown and Kevin Edward Trent of Newport; great-grandchildren, Zoe Ashton Lange of Morristown and Hayden E. Fortner Smith of Tazewell; niece, Judy Hatfield of Sneedville; nephew, Keith Sandifer of Morristown and a host of other relatives and friends.
She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
The family will receive friends Sunday, March 17 from 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday, March 18 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Coffey Funeral Home Chapel in New Tazewell. Funeral service will be Tuesday March 19 at 1 p.m. in the Coffey Funeral Home Chapel, New Tazewell with the Rev. Burton Morris, the Rev. Johnny Meyers and the Rev. Clifton Wilmoth officiating. Singers will include The Bunch Family. Burial will be in the Reece Cemetery.
Pallbearers include brothers-in-law, Joe Bolden, Carson Bolden, Randy Bolden, Scott Bolden and nephew, Keith Sandifer and James Hurst.

Ristine Coffey, age 75, of Morristown, passed away Saturday, March 16, 2013 at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System.
Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
GRACE ‘NANA’ COLLINS
Grace “Nana” Collins, 90, of Morristown, passed away Thursday, March 14, 2013 at The Heritage Center Nursing Home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, former Hamblen County Commissioner Guy Collins; parents, Sheffey and Carrie Lee Anderson and sister, Jeanetta Wilson.
Survivors include her daughter, Linda (Glen) Holt; grandson, Jason (fiancée, Betty Brewer) Holt; and a host of family and friends.
Visitation for family and friends will be 1-3 p.m. Sunday, March 17 in the chapel of Mayes Family Services, Downtown with the funeral service to follow at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Jack Greene officiating. Interment will follow in Hamblen Memory Gardens.

Mary Evans, 80, of Morristown passed away, Friday, March 14, 2013 at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System. She was a member of Jehovah’s Witness.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Evelyn Noe.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, James and Deb Talley; daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Ron Patterson; grandchildren, Kim Nichols, Paige Evans, Greg Epps and Julie Epps; great-grandchildren, C.J. Nichols, Olivia Evans, Natasha Franklin, Evan Epps, Wesley Lane, Bridgette Epps and Courtney Epps; uncle, Charles Arwood; aunt, Dorothy Arwood; niece, Kim (David) Hubbard and nephew, Kip (Debbie) Arwood.
Visitation for family and friends will be 5-7 p.m. Monday, March 18 at Mayes Family Services, West Chapel and the service to follow at 7 p.m. with Mark Williams officiating. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 19 in Bethesda Cemetery.

BEULAH HIPSHER HANCOCK
Beulah Hipsher Hancock, age 73, of Rutledge went to be with the Lord Thursday, March 14, 2013 at her residence. She was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Hancock; daughter, Pamela Jean Hancock; father, William Goble Hipsher; mother, Essie Hipsher; sister, Mary Fist Taylor; and brother, Luther Hipsher.
Survivors include daughter, Joyce Hancock of the home; sister, Ronnie (Rudy) Coffey of Mooresburg; brother, John (Berneda) Hipsher of Tazewell; brother-in-law, Jarvis (Janis) Hancock of Knoxville; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held Sunday, March 17 at 6 p.m. in the chapel of Smith-Reagan Funeral Home with the Rev. Greg Williamson and the Rev. Eddie Holbrook officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m. prior to the service. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Monday, March 18 in Blue Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Rod Coffey, Brandon Williams, Bobby Maples, Buddy Hipsher, Tim Corum and Zack Holbrook.

THELMA F. SEAL
Thelma F. Seal, age 79, of Morristown, passed away Friday, March 15, 2013 at Lakeway Regional Hospital. She was a member of Noe’s Chapel United Methodist Church. She worked as a switch board operator at Walters State Community College and then retired from Berkline.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bob Fugate and Ora Seal; and two brothers, Homer and Mitchell Fugate.
She is survived by her son, Mike Seal; and seven cousins.
Funeral services will be at 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 19 at Westside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Danny Hensley officiating. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 20 at Green-Minor Cemetery in Hancock County. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Tuesday, prior to the service at the funeral home.

JAMES EDWARD ‘JIMMY’ STEELE
James Edward “Jimmy” Steele, age 49, of Rogersville, passed away Saturday, March 16, 2013 at Life Care Center of Greeneville following an extended illness. He was a member of Price’s Grove Missionary Baptist Church and was a truck drive.
Mr. Steele was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Rae Johnson Martin; maternal grandparents, Bob and Edith Johnson; paternal grandparents, Ernest and Vesta Mae Brewer Steele.
He is survived by his daughters, Andrea Lamb of Bulls Gap, Brittany Elmore and husband, Matthew, Ashley Steele, all of Rogersville, Taylor Steele of the home; father, Joe Steele and wife, Jeanette of Rogersville; grandchildren, Leah Allison, and Alexis Lamb, Elijah Housewright, Lanie and Noah Elmore and Bryson Steele; brothers, Christopher Lee Steele and wife, Jackie of Rogersville, Billy Ridley of Louisville, Ky.; sisters, Renee Steele of Jacksonville, Fla., Sherry Phillips of Maynardville; several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be 6-8 p.m. Monday, March 18 at Broome Funeral Home, Rogersville and anytime at the home of his daughter, Andrea Lamb.
Funeral service will be conducted at 8 p.m., Monday, March 18 in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Billy Ray Courtney, the Rev. Jerry Lee and the Rev. Dwayne Brewer officiating. Graveside service will be conducted 11 a.m., Tuesday, March 19 at the Brewer Cemetery.
