RAYMOND CARL BLANKEN

Raymond Carl Blanken, age 64, of Bybee, passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2013 after a lengthy illness. He was a member of Lakeshore Baptist Church in Grainger County.

He was preceded in death by his parents, the Rev. Willie and Myrtle Blanken; son, Timmy Blanken; brothers, Grant, J.R. and Paul Blanken and a sister, Dorothy Martin.

Survived by daughter, Lisa Salyor and husband, Mike; granddaughter, Misa Salyor; and daughter, Amy; long-time companion of 25 years, Georgia Dover; step-daughters, Pamela Dover who lived in the home and cared for him alongside her mother and Melissa Lloyd and husband William; five grand-daughters, Christina Lloyd, Rebecca Lloyd, Amy Lloyd, Madison Dover and Georan Raines; brothers, Dean and wife, Betty Blanken, Elmer Blanken and wife, Theresa of Morristown; sister, Ruth Douthat and husband, Rex of Mohawk; many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends in the East chapel of Allen Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, 2013 prior to the funeral service at 8 p.m. with Revs. Kenneth Wilson and Greg Douthat officiating. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, March 14, 2013 in Hamblen Memory Gardens.

BILLY LYNN BROOKS

Billy Lynn Brooks, age 78, of Morristown passed away on March 13, 2013. He was of the Baptist Faith.

He was preceded in death by parents, Dessie and Virgil Brooks.

He is survived by his wife, Mildered Brooks; two sons, Gary and James Brooks; one granddaughter, Crystall Michelle Brooks and other family and friends.

No formal services are planned at this time. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donation be made to Dockery Funeral Home for final expenses.

EVELYN E. CHANDLER

Evelyn E. Chandler, age 87, of White Pine, passed away at Jefferson County Nursing Home on March 12, 2013. She was a member of First Baptist Church of White Pine.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Boyd Chandler; parents, Hugh Taylor Yates and Elizabeth McNabb Yates.

Survivors include her son, Tim Chandler; niece, Gail (Ron) Fell of Stone Mountain, Ga.; nephew, Tracy L. Trent; and niece, Elizabeth L. Fell. She also has five great-nieces and nephews that Evelyn considered her grandchildren, also there are several other nieces, nephews and other family members.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 14, 2013 at 7 p.m. at Farrar Funeral Home in White Pine with the Rev. Brian Osborne officiating. Graveside interment will be held on Friday, March 15, 2013 at 11 a.m. in White Pine Cemetery. Family and friends will receive friends on Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. prior to the funeral service.

RAYMOND CHARLES ‘RONNIE’ CRAWLEY JR.

Raymond Charles Crawley Jr., “Ronnie,” age 66, passed away with his family and friends by his side on March 13, 2013 at Morristown Hamblen Healthcare System.

Ronnie was a man who loved life and truly loved his family, friends, and people he would meet along his journey. He was always compassionate to anyone in need and is now having a wonderful frolic in heaven with the Lord.

Ronnie is preceded in death by his father, Raymond Charles Crawley, Sr., and his stepfather, Millard C. English.

Ronnie leaves behind his beloved mother, Louise English, Morristown; his daughter, Suzanne Pollack, Galveston, Texas; his sister, Karan (Tim) Goins of Morristown; his brothers, George Crawley of Morristown and Bill (Teresa) English of Evans, Ga.; granddaughters, Melissa and Candy Pollack of Texas; his nephews, Tilman (Lenka) Goins, Justin Goins and Jeffrey Goins of Morristown and Billy (Toni) English of Evans, Ga.; additionally, a niece, Jennifer (Bo) Brock of Evans, Ga.; and beloved aunt, Billie Scott of Morristown. He also has several great nieces and nephews. Ronnie also leaves behind his devoted caregiver of four years, Tammy Roberts, Jefferson City.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to Lindsay Young, Betty Moore, and Melody Dickson for providing their loving care to Ronnie and for the wonderful staff and owners of Home Instead Senior Care. Everyone there was a part of his family. The family would also like to extend their deepest appreciation to the staff and physicians who cared for Ronnie at Morristown Hamblen Healthcare System Critcal Care Unit. Their dedication to the finest quality care for Ronnie was beyond reproach and we are forever grateful.

Vistitation will be held at Westside Chapel on Thursday, March 14, 2013 from 6 to 8 p.m. Mr. Crawley will lie in state at Cherokee Heights Baptist Church from 1 to 2 p.m. on Friday, March 15, 2013 with services to follow at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Kenny Cole and Gary Epps officiating. Interment will follow immediately afterwards at Hamblen Memory Gardens.

DEBORAH JEWELL (BOWLIN) DUVALL

Deborah Jewell (Bowlin) Duvall, 54, of Bean Station, passed away Sunday, March 10, 2013 at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Joe and Oladell Bowlin. She was a member of New Beginning Missionary Baptist Church of Bean Station, where she loved using her talents to sing for the Lord.

She was the beloved mother of Sharon and Susan Duvall; daughter of Gene and Delta Bowlin of Bean Station; sister of Donnie Bowlin of Morristown; sister of Loretta (Leonard) Bowlin Miller of Crossville; and sister-in-law, Rebecca Bowlin of Mooresburg; aunt to Chad (Jennifer) Miller, Leslie (Daniel) Perry, Michelle (Michael) Findley, Benjamin Miller and Laura Miller, all of Crossville, Toshia (David) Combs of Rutledge, Kayla Bowlin and Joseph Bowlin of Mooresburg.

Visitation for family and friends will be 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 14, 2013 in the chapel of Mayes Family Services, Downtown and funeral services to follow at 7 p.m. with the Rev. Ivan Cook and the Rev. Darrell Ramsey officiating. Family and friends will meet Friday, March 15, 2013 at Noeton Baptist Church Cemetery for an 11 a.m. graveside service.

MARY LOU (WHILLOCK) ESLINGER

Mary Lou (Whillock) Eslinger, age 70, of Dandridge, passed away Wednesday afternoon, March 13, 2012 at her home.

She was the daughter of the late Hal and Margaret (French) Whillock and was life-long resident of Dandridge and Jefferson County where she was a member of the First Baptist Church of Dandridge and was a retired program technician for the USDA Farm Service Agency.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Quinton Eslinger.

She is survived by daughters, Cathy (Randy) Dixon and Candy Eslinger; grandchildren, Chris (Jenny) Seay, Carrie Seay, Isaiah and Abbie Dixon; great-grandchildren, Kaley, Madison and Sophia Seay; sister-in-laws, Wilma Jarnigan and Barbara (Murrell) Jarnigan; special sisters, Sue (Dale) Drinnon, Teresa (Dale) Derrick and Denise Creekmore; and her special extended familliles including her many close friends, Maury High School classmates, her traveling buddies, her church and community. A loving mother, grandmother and friend, she will be greatly missed, fondly remembered.

The family suggest that memorial gifts be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 246, Dandridge, TN 37725.

Funeral services will be Friday, March 15, 2013 at 6 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Dandridge with Dr. Robert Brown and the Rev. Charlie Harkleroad officiating. Family will receive friends immediately following the service. Graveside interment services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Piedmont Cemetery.

KATHERINE FENNELL

Katherine Fennell, age 76, of Rutledge passed away on March 13, 2013.

She was preceded in death by her son, Bobby Carroll Jr.; parents, Howard and Waive Bailey and sister, Anne Wice.

She is survived by her loving husband, Roger Fennell; daughters, Kathy Perkins and Tina (Bryon) Horner; grandchildren, Brooke Phillips and Logan Horner; three great grandchildren; two brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 15, 2013 at 8 p.m. in the chapel at Smith-Reagan Funeral Home in Rutledge with the Rev. Raymond Long officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. prior to the service. Graveside services will be Saturday, March 16, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Oakland Cemetery.

Wilma Diane Brock Glass, age 67, of Morristown, passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at Lakeway Regional Hospital.

DEWEY ‘RED’ LEDFORD

Dewey “Red” Ledford, 70, of Morristown, passed away at his home Monday, March 11, 2013 surrounded by his family.

He was preceded in death by son, Tracy Ledford; father and mother, Clyde and Virgie Ledford; brother, Alfred Ledford and sister, Betty Sue Duncan.

He is survive d by his wife of 48 years, Shirley Long Ledford; daugther, Sandra Collins and fiance’, Scott; son, Bobby Coffey and wife, Tina; 11 grandchildren, Nathan Ledford, Alicia Collins, Sara Jarnigan and fiance’, Wes, Justin Crum, Brittany Brady, Bobby, Christopher, Brooke and Madison Coffey, Holly Morgan and Michael Wilder; four great-grandchildren, Grace Lee-Ann Ivy, Mason Dale Ivy, Case Brady, Aden Coffey; two brothers, Bud and Thurman (Sharon) Ledford; two sisters, Mae Fowler and Nancy Stuart; special niece, Wendy Ellis; special newphew, T.G. Ledford.

“Red” was a member of Greene’s Chapel Church. He enjoyed a long and successful racing career and loved meeting his fans, especially his long-time fans.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening, March 14 in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home prior to the funeral service at 8 p.m. with the Rev. Jack Greene officiating. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Friday, March 15 at Fairfield Baptist Church Cemetery on Jaybird Road.

Mary Lou (Dean) Lowery, age 67, of Dandridge passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2013 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

She was preceded in death by parents, Sanford and Odell Dean; son, James Ronald Lowery; brother, David Harold “Doc” Dean; niece, Pamela Welch Wilhite.

She is survived by husband, Steve Lowery; daughter, Shirley Ann Lowery; sisters, Betty (Arvel) Fain, Wanda Reed, Louise (Gerald) Barbee and Ann Keaton; very special nephew and niece, David and Erin Bacon.

Funeral services will be Friday, March 15, 2013 at 7 p.m. at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel, Jefferson City with Bro. Roy Miller officiating. Interment graveside services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Hillcrest Cemetery. Mary S. Morgan, 95, of Morristown, passed away Monday, March 11, 2013 at The Heritage Center Nursing Home. She was a faithful member of Centenary Methodist Church of Morristown.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willis Morgan; one brother, Willis Miller, Jr. of N.C.; two sons-in-law, Tony Brooks and Ben Collins of Morristown.

Survivors include her two daughters, Libby Brooks and Dot Collins of Morristown; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Christine Miller of N.C.; and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, March 15, 2013 at Mayes Family Services, West Chapel. Family and friends will meet at Hamblen Memory Gardens Saturday, March 16, 2013 for an 11 a.m. graveside service with the Rev. Dwight Kenney officiating. Willie Taylor, age 89, of Talbott, passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at Life Care of Morristown.

He was a member of Faith Baptist Church in White Pine.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Maude Taylor; son, Don Taylor; parents, Homer and Bertha Taylor; grandson, Tim Clonce; granddaughter, Amy Taylor; and sisters, Iva Dunn and Jessie Gaby.

He is survived by his daughters, Faye (Leon) Clonce of Bean Station and Shirley (Frank) Lovin of Morristown; sons, Roger (Shirley) Taylor of Morristown, Jerry (Patty) Taylor of Morristown, Billy (Debbie) Taylor of Greeneville, and Marlin (Edna) Taylor of Dandridge; ten grandchildren and special granddaughters, Betty Taylor and Lisa Bell; five great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; brother, Coy Taylor of Greeneville; daughter-in-law, Sandra Taylor; and special friends, Lonnie Hayes, Billy Bass, and Norman Rines.
