CHARLES JACKSON ‘JACK’ ASHBY
Charles Jackson “Jack” Ashby, 83, entered into eternal rest on Monday, Feb. 25, 2013, at The Heritage Center in Morristown.
Jack was born on Jan. 31, 1930, son of the late Edward Stuart and Effie Alice Whitesel Ashby.
He was predeceased by Emily Adams Ashby, his wife of 11 years, in 1965 and Mary Charles Adams Ashby, his wife of 27 years in 2001 as well as his sisters, Sarah A. Ashby and Alice Virginia Ashby Wine.
He leaves his loving memories to be cherished by his daughter, Emily Ashby McIntire (and husband Mike) and his son, Cary Sidney Ashby along with three grandchildren, who made him proud, Timothy McIntire and Megan and Melissa Ashby.
The Regency Retirement Village “family” welcomed him in 2009 with open arms and was “home” for him when he moved to be close to his family. Jack was known for his daily walking ritual, the never missed cup of coffee, and the always warm greeting he offered each visitor and resident.
Special thanks to the staff at Morristown Hamblen Healthcare System and The Heritage Center who showed such loving care and support in his final days.
A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, March 7, 2013 at 6 p.m. at Regency Retirement Village.

Mary Helen Cooper, 86, died March 2, 2013, at UT Medical Center following an accident.
Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 6 at Gateway Church. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 7 at Hamblen Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, prior to the services at the church.

Kristina K. Dailey, age 31, of Russellville, passed away Monday, March 4, 2013 at Lakeway Regional Hospital.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 9, 2013, at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Russellville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday prior to the services at the funeral home.

PATRICIA CATHERINE FLEDERBACH
Patricia Catherine Flederbach, age 83, of Talbott, passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at Shannondale Healthcare in Knoxville. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church of Morristown.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Flederbach; daughter, Catherine Flederbach; parents, Patrick Joseph and Ellen Judge Coughlin; sister, Helen McGowan.
She is survived by her daughter, Maureen (Lynn) Roddy of Knoxville; granddaughters, Cathy (Jason) Boothe of Kodak and Erin (Lance) Roddy-Harwell of Columbia, Maryland; great-granddaughter, Caroline Boothe of Kodak; sisters, Mary Ellen Resen of El Paso, Texas, Margaret Kovarik of Morristown; several nieces and nephews, special nephew, Father Patrick Resen of Copper Hill; brothers and sisters-in-law, Rose Flederbach, Madeline and George Hoeflein, Mary Bridge all of New York and Robert Flederbach of N.C.
Funeral mass will be held Friday, March 8, 2013 at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church with Father Joseph Hammond, Father Patrick Resen and other priest officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 11 a.m. until time of funeral mass. Interment will follow in Hamblen Memory Gardens.

MARY EDITH HUGGINS
Mary Edith Huggins, age 84, of Morristown, went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 4, 2013 at the Heritage Center. She was a member of Fairview Bible Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents and six brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Elbert “Ruben” Huggins; sister, Edna; special niece, Nancy Hopson; special nephew, Tom Derry; special friend, Greg Susong; special neighbor, Emma Turner; and a host of other nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2013 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Stubblefield Funeral Home with the Rev. Bobby Helton and the Rev. Kenny Davis officiating. Interment will follow in Hamblen Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 12 to 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home prior to the services.

Clem Frank “Frankie” Shipley, 70, of Morristown, passed away Sunday, March 3, 2013 at his home.
Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, 2013 and funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with the Rev. Caleb Winstead officiating. Family and friends will gather Thursday, March 7, 2013 at Hebron Cemetery in Jefferson City for a 10 a.m. military graveside service.

Tommy E. “Fuzz” Southerland, Jr., 60, passed away to his new home on Tuesday, March 5, 2013, at the home of special friends Lorie and Penny.
He is preceded in death by his special nephew, Joey “JoJo” Southerland and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Parley and Helen Young.
Survivors include his wife, Claudette Young Southerland; children, Renee Massey (John), Justin Reed, Lucas Southerland (Ashley), and Dustin Reed; two grandchildren; father and mother, Tommy Sr. and Betty Southerland; brothers and sisters, Sue Southerland, Joey Southerland (Laura), Jackie Southerland (Janie), Debbie Hardy (Bobby); sister-in-law and brothers-in-law, Marie Carter (Ernie) and Dewayne Young (Debbie); special nephews, Alec Southerland, Paul (Kendall) and Cody Carter; nieces, Keshia and Sophira Southerland and Bridget Warren; special companions, Bubba, Zeus, and Tyson; several cousins, the special family of Eddie and Shirley Shelton; Sammy and the ColorTech family, and special friends.

JAMES ‘ROY’ WISECARVER
James “Roy” Wisecarver, 79, of Whitesburg, went to be with the Lord, Monday morning, March 4, 2013 at his home.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Ora Barding Wisecarver. Roy was a member of Whitesburg Baptist Church. He served in the United States Army, and was retired from Enka. Roy loved farming, and was an avid supporter of the county 4-H club.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Gay Mantooth Wisecarver; daughters, Pam Wisecarver and Jamie (James) Woods, as well as daughter of the heart, Kim Odom; twin brother, William “Coy” (Louise) Wisecarver; his beloved pets, skipper and Mitzi; along with several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, March 9, 2013 at Whitesburg Baptist Church.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, March 10, 2013 with the Revs. Charley Brewer and Larry Parrott officiating.
Military honors and internment will follow in Hamblen Memory Gardens.
