MARY HELEN COOPER

Mary Helen Cooper, 86, died March 2, 2013, at UT Hospital following an accident. 

Helen was born in Shelby County to Sanford and Elizabeth Ford.  Helen has been a dedicated and committed member of Gateway Church in Morristown since February, 1976. Helen spent much energy and work in the political arena and was well informed about the needs of our country. 

In addition, she also was a repository of scriptural and moral attributes, which she shared with anyone who had an ear to hear. 

Helen gave birth to four wonderful children. They are Peggy Kumpe (husband, Ernie), Pastor Sanford Cooper (wife, Debra), Barbara Iglesia (husband, Salvador) and Brent Cooper (wife, Brenda).

She leaves a legacy of 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Other survivors are siblings, Doris Henderson, Velma Smith, Shirley Leake, Tom and Jerry Ford.

After Helen retired from Shelby-Williams Seating, Inc., she focused her support toward Gateway Church and Morristown Covenant Academy, where she continued to visit children and entertain them with stories and food.  She will be missed and cherished by all whose lives she touched. 

Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 6 at Gateway Church. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 7 at Hamblen Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Wednesday, prior to the services at the church.

Kristina K. Dailey, age 31, of Russellville, passed away Monday, March 4, 2013 at Lakeway Regional Hospital.

MARY EDITH HUGGINS

Mary Edith Huggins, age 84, of Morristown, went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 4, 2013 at the Heritage Center. She was a member of Fairview Bible Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents and six brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Elbert “Ruben” Huggins; sister, Edna; special niece, Nancy Hopson; special nephew, Tom Derry; special friend, Greg Susong; special neighbor, Emma Turner; and a host of other nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 7 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Stubblefield Funeral Home with the Rev. Bobby Helton and the Rev. Kenny Davis officiating. Interment will follow in Hamblen Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12 – 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home prior to the services.

Rickey Alonzo Manis, 45, of Madison, Ala., passed away Saturday. Rickey loved all sports and especially enjoyed coaching young players.

He was preceded in death by his father, Dock Manis.

Survivors include his wife, Lori Dean Manis; daughter, Hannah Elizabeth Manis; son, Brett Alexander Manis; mother, Jean Manis of Morristown; and several aunts and uncles.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Laughlin Service Funeral Home, Huntsville, Ala. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. James Harrell officiating. Burial will be in Madison Memory Gardens.

Helen Louise Rednour, 82, of Russellville went home to be with the Lord on March 2, 2013 at Park West Medical Center in Knoxville.

Receiving of friends will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 5, 2013 in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home in Morristown. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 6 in Hamblen Memory Gardens in Morristown with the Rev. Dale Young and the Rev. Sam Grindstaff officiating.

Terri Seabrook, age 65, passed away Sunday, March 3, 2013, at Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport.

CLEM FRANK ‘FRANKIE’ SHIPLEY

Clem Frank “Frankie” Shipley, 70, of Morristown passed away Sunday, March 3, 2013 at his home. He was a life member of Am. Vets Post No. 7, VFW Post No. 5266, retired from the trucking industry after 35 years of service, and was employed at Goodwill Industries.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Letha Shipley; brothers, Anderson, John C., Charles Edward, and George Howard Shipley; sisters, Shelby Jean Sneed and Betty L. Harkelroad.

Survivors include his brothers, Robert L. Shipley and Gary P. Shipley; sisters, Ida Simmons and Mary R. Mays; several nieces, nephews, and special friends, Sharon Long, Jo Long, the Rev. Barnette Vaughn, and Mr. and Mrs. Jim Turner.

Visitation will be 5 – 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 6 and funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with the Rev. Caleb Winstead officiating. Family and friends will gather Thursday, March 7 at Hebron Cemetery in Jefferson City for a 10 a.m. military graveside service.

Lloyd Tolliver, 86, of New Market, passed away Saturday, March 2, 2013 at his home. He was of the Baptist faith and a retired New Jersey Zinc miner.

He was preceded in death by wife, Mary Ruth Maples Tolliver; parents, Mary and Verlin (Bub) Tolliver; brothers, Boyd, Kermit and Harmon Tolliver.

He is survived by daughters, Joyce (Joe) Smythe; granddaughter, Heather (Marshall) Callin; grandson, Heath (Kari) Kinder; great-grandchildren, Rayven and David Kinder, Courtney and Johnathan Callin; brother, Herman (Gladys) Tolliver; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Fielden Chapel with the Rev. Dwayne Whittington and the Rev. Steve Tolliver officiating. Interment will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Pleasant Grove Fielden Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Fielden Funeral Home, New Market.

Kenny Marvin Williams, 49, of Morristown passed away Monday, March 4, 2013 at his home. He was employed by Rusty Wallace Toyota and Rusty Wallace Cadillac, GMC, Kia of Morristown prior to his sickness.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Helen Young and brother, Leonard Williams.

Survivors include his daughters, Amanda (Brian) Walker, Jessica (Corey Nibley) Williams, and Kimberly (Jonathan) Lovin Taylor; son, Tim Brockwell; granddaughters, Hailey Walker and Ali Nibley; girlfriend, Melissa Moore and her children, Kina Elias and Alyson Theno; brother, Junior Williams; sisters, Joyce Bishop and Karen D. Light; special friends, Judy Lovin Martin and Katherine Cline; several nieces, nephews, and many close dear friends that have always been there for him.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, March 5 in the chapel of Mayes Family Services, Downtown and funeral service to follow at 7 p.m. with Dr. F. Byron Chambers officiating. Family and friends will gather Wednesday, March 6 at Hamblen Memory Gardens for an 11 a.m. graveside service.
