Hayes-Burke

Alison Dawn Hayes of Newport and Brian Jeffrey Burke of Oviedo, Fla. will be married on May 18, 2013.

The bride-elect is the daughter of George and Diana Hayes and the granddaughter of Joe and Mary Lynn Ellison and the late George and Lizzie Hayes, all of Bybee.

A graduate of Cocke County High School, Miss Hayes earned a BA in Psychology and master of education degree in school counseling at Carson-Newman College. She also holds and Ed.S. degree in educational administration and supervision from Lincoln Memorial University. She is employed as a school counselor at Centerview Elementary, Newport.

The future bridegroom is the son of Truman and Emma Burke of Taveres, Fla. and the grandson of the late Miles and Zettie Coleman and the late Delmar and Edna Burke, all of Kentucky.

A graduate of the University of Central Florida with a degree in electrical engineering, he is employed as a software engineer by SAIC, Oviedo, Fla. He is also an accomplished musician and singer/songwriter.

The couple will exchange vows in a 6 p.m. ceremony at Northport Baptist Church in Newport.

Invitations will be sent.

Lane-Knisley

Mr. and Mrs. Clark Lane of Morristown announce the engagement of their daughter, Mackenzie Brooke Lane, to Benjamin Thomas Knisley. He is the son of Dennis and Beth Knisley of Thompson Station, Tenn.

The Bride elect is the granddaughter of Wade and Betty Lane and Ernest and Carolyn Lee, all of Morristown.

Mackenzie is a 2010 graduate of Morristown West High School. She received her Cosmetology license from Tennessee School of Beauty in Knoxville and her instructor’s incense from Douglas J. Aveda Institute where she is currently employed.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Pat and JoAnn Simpson of Kingsport, Harry and Betty Dunn of McMinnville and the late Benjamin Knisley Jr. also of Kingsport

Ben is a 2007 graduate of Independence High School in Thompson Station. He is a 2011 graduate of The University of Tennessee with a Bachelor of Science degree in religious studies. Ben is currently on staff at The Bridge Church in Spring Hill, as the student ministries director.

The couple will exchange vows on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at 3 p.m. at Twin Cedar Farms in Rockford with Josh Howerton officiating. All friends and family are invited to attend.

Self-Tabor

Mary and Skip Simmons of Morristown announce the engagement and forthcoming marraige of their daughter, Sara Victoria Self to Jonathon “Kyle” Tabor originally of Lexington, Tenn.

The bride-elect is also the daughter of the late Gary G. Self and is the granddaughter of Betty A. Howard of Bean Station and the late Yewell J. Howard and is also the granddaughter of Jeri Hensley of Morristown.

The groom-elect is the son of Kay and Tim Tabor of Monroe, Wisconsin and is the grandson of Hazel and Earl Brammer of West Virginia.

Sara is a 2008 graduate of Morristown Hamblen High School East and is a 2012 graduate of East Tennessee State University where she recieved a Bachelors Degree in business administration with concentration in legal studies. She is currently employed by Hollister as assistant manager.

Kyle is a 2006 graduate of Lexington High School and is currently in the Cardiopulmonary Science/ Respiratory Therapy Program at East Tennessee State University where he will graduate in May, 2014.

The ceremony will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday, March 9, 2013 at Rose Hill Chapel in Johnson City. Invitations have been sent.

Sizemore-Cotter

Darrell and Judy Sizemore announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Amanda Elizabeth Sizemore, to Jason Anthony Cotter.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter Argelene and the late Henry Sizemore of Morristown and H.B. and the late Paulette Wells of Morristown. She is a 2001 graduate of East High School and a 2006 graduate of Walters State Community College. She is employed at CVS as a pharmacy technician.

The groom-elect is the son of Rebecca Cotter of Morristown. He is the grandson of Dorthy (Mammy) Hawk and Helen Douglas of Morristown. He is a 1998 graduate of West High School and is attending Tennessee Technology Center of Morristown for collision repair. He is employed at O’Rielly’s Auto Parts as a retail service specialist.

The wedding ceremony will take place at 3 p.m. March 16, 2013 at Little Redeemed Primitive Baptist Church in Morristown. All friends and family are welcome to attend.

Wilder-Rogers

Tim and Debbie Wilder of Bean Station announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Brittney Sherree Wilder, to Ryan Kenneth Rogers, son of Kenny and Debra Rogers of Talbott.

The bride-elect is a 2002 graduate of Rutledge High School. She received her doctorate of pharmacy degree at Samford University in 2009. Brittney is currently employed as a pharmacist in charge at CVS Pharmacy located on the east end of Morristown. She is the granddaughter of the late Kyle and Vola wilder of Sneedville and Lucille Holt and the late C.B. Holt of Bean Station.

The groom elect is a 2002 gradaute of Morristown-Hamblen High School West. He received his Bachelor of Science in nursing from Carson-Newman College in 2007. He is currently pursing a masters in nursing at Carson Newman University and will graduate in May. He is currently employed as a RN at Tennova Healthcare. He is the grandson of the late Howard and Azalee Malone and Helen Rogers and the late Clellan Rogers, all of Morristown.

The ceremony will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, March 16, 2013 at Manley Baptist Church in Morristown. All friends and family are invited to attend.
