East High announces 2013 Homecoming Court

The 2013 Morristown-Hamblen High School East basketball homecoming queen candidates are:

 Whitney Caudill, daughter of Jamie Caudill and the late Kimberly Johnson, is being escorted by Justin Gibson, son of Melissa Robinson.

 Whitney is a member of Northside Missionary Baptist Church, where she sings in the church and youth choirs.

 She is currently involved in FCCLA, HOSA and Interact and is a member of the United States Achievement Academy. Whitney has also participated in the Miss East pageant, 2012 football homecoming court, and Spanish club.

 Brooke Coffey is the daughter of Wendy and Robby Coffey. Logan Ricker, son of Tracy Ricker and Wesley Ricker, is escorting Brooke.

 Brooke attends Arrowhead Church. She is the senior vice president of student council and vice president of 7&6 social club.

 She writes about sports for the school newspaper and is on the editorial staff. Brooke is also involved in FCCLA, NAC, Forensics Drama, Young life and the 2012 football homecoming.

 Ashton Cook, the daughter of Dwayne and Amy Cook, is being escorted by Clay Rutherford. Clay is the son of Doug and Kelly Rutherford. Ashton is a member at First Presbyterian Church. Ashton is a member of FCCLA, NAC, Young life, and works at Sagebrush. Ashton was a member of 7&6 social club.

 Jade Hale is the daughter of Alan and Michelle Hale. Jade is being escorted by Ryan Atkins, the son of Lonnie and Nicole Atkins.

 Jade attends Freedom Fellowship Church. She has played varsity basketball all four years of high school and coaches recreational league girls basketball for sixth and seventh graders. She has also participated in Sub Debs social club for three years.

 Dakota French is the daughter of Misty French and Clark French. Branson Wilson, the son of Brandi and Larry Osborne, is escorting her.

 Dakota is a member of Arrowhead Church and is involved in the Morristown East choir. She is also a member of GCCLA and BFC, and volunteers at her church. She also has participated in the Beta club, and Spanish club.

 Becca Hatcher is the daughter of Dwayne and Jennifer Hatcher. Ben Wampler, son of Jimmy and Cindy Wampler, is escorting Becca.

 Becca is a member of Russellville Baptist Church. She is a captain of the varsity cheer squad, senior representative of NAC and a mentor of Sub-Debs social club. She is a member of FCCLA and Morristown East Choir.

 Haley Hawkins is the daughter of Randy and Beth Moffitt. Austin Carmical, son of Wendy Houseright and Danny Houseright, is escorting her.

 Haley attends Dover Cumberland Presbyterian Church and is vice president of FCCLA, president of 4-H Honor Club and secretary of BFC. She is a member of DECA, All stars, and Spanish club and has served as a youth leader at a summer camp for fourth through sixth graders.

 Jodie King is the daughter of Kenny and Sherry King and is being escorted by Drew Elliott, son of Kathryn Elliott and Jamie Elliott.

 Jodie is a member of Highland Baptist Church. She has played softball all four years of high school and has played on the school’s basketball team for three years.

 Destiny Newman is the daughter of Billie Newman, and is being escorted by Trevon Treece, the son of Yolanda Treece.

 Destiny is a member of Bean Station Baptist Temple, where she has volunteered in her Sunday school class and sings in the church choir.

 She plans on attending Carson-Newman after she graduates.

 Ashli Rogers is the daughter of Bill and Dawn Rogers. Billy Trent, son of Billy and Lisa Trent, is escorting her.

 Ashli is a member of Morningside Baptist Church. She has played volleyball and softball all four years and made all-conference team in both sports. She is a member of Beta Club, Interact, FCCLA and Pep club.

 She is a peer tutor and a volunteer in the challenger league. Ashli has a 4.3 grade point average and played three years of basketball.

 Jennifer Thayer is the daughter of Trygve and Tracy Thayer, Jay Patel, son of Gary and Kelly Patel, is escorting her.

 Jennifer attends First United Methodist Church. She has been captain and co-captain of the school swim team and brass captain for marching band.

 She has participated in Downtown Dance Theatre’s “The Nutcracker” and Lakeway School of Ballet and Dance.

 Carrie Wheeler is the daughter of Mike and Yvonne Wheeler. Cody Dibble, son of Rick Dibble and Sandra Dibble, is escorting her.

 Carrie is a member of Noes Chapel United Methodist Church. She is involved in Young Life and works at Akita Express.

 Carrie also participated in student council, soccer, softball, and Sub Debs social club.
