Mann-Spencer

Elizabeth Carole Mann and Matthew Austin Spencer were united in marriage 5:30 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012 at Oehler Wedding Chapel in Charlotte, N.C. The union was officiated by the Rev. Larry Seals, who is the uncle of the groom.

The bride is the daughter of Gilbert, who escorted his daughter, and Nina Mann of Harrisburg, N.C. She is the granddaughter of Carolyn Kindley and the late Bobby Kindley of Concord, N.C., and the late George and Matronia Mann.

The groom is the son of Sharon and Gary Chesney and the late Harold Spencer of Morristown. He is also the grandson of Wanda Spencer and the late William Herman Spencer, the late William Owen and Minnie Leabow, Billie Chesney and the late Dale Chesney of Kingsport.

Music for the ceremony was provided by Gary Hunt of Asheboro, N.C.

The bride wore an ivory Casablanca gown with a sweetheart bodice of hand-embroidered Chantilly lace, enhanced with beading and crystals. It had an ivory satin waistline with an A-line silhouette gown of beaded lace over satin extending into a scalloped semi-chapel train. She wore a finger tip veil edged in lace and pearls. The bride carried a bouquet of orange ranunculus, coral peonies, antique pink roses, white dahlias, stephanotis and yellow button flowers wrapped in lace from her mother’s wedding dress.

Maid of honor, Rebekah Buck, of Harrisonburg, N.C. is a friend of the couple. The matron of honor was Tara Bedwell Mann of Concord, N.C. is the sister-in-law of the bride. Bridesmaids included cousins of the bride, Megan Kindley and Alley Kindley of Concord, N.C., and friends, Amanda Kendall of Charlotte, Lauren Spinks of Wilmington, Cyndal Russell of St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands, Ilene Sheehy of Atlanta, Ga.

The attendants wore sleeveless cocktail length dresses of ivory penny lace over platinum satin with a satin ribbon belted waistline and jewel neckline. They carried smaller bouquets of mixed flowers in orange, yellow, white and pink, similar to the bride’s.

The best man was the brother of the groom, Brandon Spencer of Atlanta, Ga. Groomsmen included brother of the bride, Caleb Mann of Concord, cousins of the groom, Jeremiah Davis of Talbott, Link Gibbons, Dustin Epps, Clint Spencer all of Morristown, Ike Davis of Scottsdale, Ariz., Michael Taylor of Apopka, Fla., and Josh Horton of Hillsborough, N.C. who are all friends of the groom.

Following the ceremony, a dinner and dancing reception was held at Dehler’s Barn. The guest registar was Stacia Neugent of Harrisburg, N.C. The program attendant was Kelly Odell of Raleigh, N.C.

The honeymoon trip will be to Playa Mujeres in Mexico, and the couple will reside in Salisbury, N.C.
