Michael G. Comer has been elected as Chairman of the Board of the Better Business Bureau of Greater East Tennessee during the organization’s recent annual meeting. Comer serves as executive vice president and COO of Citizens National Bank in Sevierville.
“The Better Business Bureau is founded on trust, which is the basis of all business,” Comer said during the meeting. “The BBB strives to catch business and people that are ‘Doing Things Right’, as opposed to focusing on problems. An organization that displays our logo and is a member in good standing means they have experience providing good service and value.”
Jerry Tipton, president and CEO of the Better Business Bureau of Greater East Tennessee said, “The role of our local volunteer Board of Directors is vital. They hold the professional team accountable to the high standards of the national Better Business Bureau. At the same time, the board ensures local operations grow while continuing in a financially satisfactory manner.”
The Better Business Bureau consists of, 114 local organizations that serve communities across the U.S. and Canada, evaluating and monitoring more than 3 million local and national businesses and charities.
