A long-standing Lakeway Area business was recently sold to an international company.

Concrete Materials, Inc. of Morristown and Dandridge, which last year celebrated its 65th anniversary of business, has been sold to international building materials group, Oldcastle Materials of Dublin, Ireland according to its owners.

Concrete Materials former owner and president Carl Storms said the deal was finalized in recent weeks.

Oldcastle Materials has a U.S. headquarters in Atlanta but Concrete Materials, Inc will be taken over by OldCastle subsidiary, Harrison APAC in Knoxville.

Storms said no changes will be made from a business standpoint as all employees will retain their jobs and he along with Vice President Wayne McCamey will remain in their positions.

Storms said the only change that may occur with the exchange is the possibility of increasing business to surrounding areas.

Concrete Materials, Inc. uses the latest in concrete technology and equipment to deliver high quality ready-mixed concrete to all of its customers carrying a full line of concrete-related supplies and equipment to aid their customers in completing their projects on time and within budget.
